like plex said go to start control panel sound and audio devices hardware and it should be like the third one down... if not... you may have to open the pc up... and look for your sound card... easy way to do it is on the back of the pc... u should see a green port plus many different colors... push on it if you can and try n wiggle it and look inside the pc to see where the wiggle is goin too... when u find the sound card try to look for a brand name without unscrewing it and taking it out... but if you must then go ahead n do that just make sure u unplug EVERYTHING before u do this... and look on either the bottom or the top of the card n try n find a name tell me what u come up with...
