Speakers have nothing to do with your soundcard...

Besides the fact that they plugin to it.

I don't quite understand whats going on?

-cracks knuckles-

Go to control panel > system > hardware > device manager >
>sound video and game devices

Than right click for hardware changes, tell me the results, and keep it up

right did anything show up? under sound devices?

Does your soundcard show up in there?

Basically if your soundcard shows up in there go to properties on that particular driver
,and see if it says this device is working properly

Lol N00bs. Listen, i Had This Problem Before, Speaker Tests Were Working, But Nothing Else. if u Have ur Mic Plugged in it Could Be a Hardware Conflict. So To Check This Out; Right Click On Speaker (Volume Control) -> Adjust Audio Properties --> Click The Audio Tab, And Check What ur Playing Back On, if it Says its ur Speakers And They\'re Fully Operational, Forget That. Do What Complexity Said, Search For Red Triangles in ur List Of Hardwares Which Means a Conflict And Drivers Will Be Getting Mixed Up. if u Dont Find That, Here\'s a Story. The Same Week My Speakers Fucked i Was Playing With an IP Changer i Downloaded, And Foolishly Kicked Myself Off The Net. So i System Restored To The Previous Week. OH SNAP, Speakers Worked.

Last resort. Take a screenshot of your hardware panel with the sound devices open. Uninstall your soundcard and restart the computer.
