They started by cutting off each sector
saying all we shown was this diseased pleasure
for keeping measures, unaccounted for
they surrounded mine, then surrounded yours
guns shots rattle out the chamber, all life
run's out, as if they were the stars of all night
skies...circulated like the breath of a marathon
runner, the gunner trailed each one, "cherish dawn"
he yelled as he threw a pair of bombs, *BLAST*
as doors flew from hinges, I made my escape, fast
cowardly act, but I can't face the power he had
a youth, that couldn't even tower thee past
I slipped on a stump, stumbling to the outskirts
I couldn't tell you the time of each hour....
fallen into a deep sleep, my mind hit like a percussion
then awoken again, by a ill mannered substance
a sour taste consumed the air, "Who Is There"
bellowed a shadow, I didn't presume to share
as foul birds cried, as if to say "doom is near"
I couldn't get up, so all I did was choose to stare
you could hear the wind pass through the fabric
as the air carried it, soon lit up the lantern
as I saw a face with a pattern, stare back unmoved
he uttered the words that shutter my soul
Death Becomes You....
upset, disgruntled, I can envision a mastermind's eyes
he said I was a stray cat, who shouldn't accumulate 9 lives
his words befuddled the mind, "None as subtle as I"
the lantern swung as a clock that struggled with time
without hesitance, I grabbed the nearest rock and sent it quick
he grasped it in his palm as if no pain was ever sensed
scoffed at my negligence, and continued to taunt me with secrecy
he said "You will never be at peace...The nightmares are dreams of speech"
dumbfounded, I found myself speechless, "Seize thy tongue"
as embers burnt from the tree, flew past, all I could think is RUN
I stumbled to my feet, and dashed to the nearest shrub
still remembering what his appearance was, fear overcomes
I slid down a hill, bumped my head on a decaying fence
slept somberly, once again I see him, creating the faintest breath
he said wash your face, and as I assembled myself to take each step
I looked into the pond, as my pain circulated, and I became nauseous
I realized the tree, held nothing, I saw no one, dealing with my subconscious
see I have a problem, I can't grasp the sense of reality
I can't speak out loud, so my mind creates each happening
so this entity is a scrap of me, dissected from my anatomy
replacing the weak and soft spoken, with bravery and calamity
I'm battling my own opus, whether awake or asleep, fate
plays with my mind, easily manipulating the actions we made....
sadly as the scheme plays out this world of mine seems strange
because I've been on the run for so long hiding between each grave
I must have caused this emptiness that you see.....wait....
I burned down the town last night for playing these games
now the law is out to get me, as I rearrange each pace
each step, each movement...............................each day

This was a no show verse for a topical league....*sigh*
