Vanilla Ice arrested for domestic abuse

Vanilla Ice aka Robert Van Winkle was arrested Thursday night after a fight with his wife in his home, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's office and CBS 4 Miami.

According to the report, Van Winkle's wife Laura called police and reported that Ice had "struck her" and "kicked her" in an argument. When police arrived she said that he had only shoved her and that she did not want to give a statement, but that she simply wanted a divorce.

Ice was being held on bond on a simple battery charge and appeared in a South Florida courtroom this morning.

In the arrest report, Ice states that his wife suffers from bi-polar disorder and that they had been fighting since Wednesday.
