The points don't really get you much...it's just overall reputation and popularity kind of. lol

Also....word of advice.

People around here get all baby'ish about leaving feedback...so don't take it to heart if you don't get feedback right away. Because I see you have talent, and it's a shame when talented artists don't get good feedback from other listeners and artists. So the best way to get feedback...is to leave feedback in other peoples audios, texts, scriptures or battles. It increases ur chances of them returning the favor.

Just thought I'd let u know.

Is it possible for someone to explain to this noob about all this rep and trophies and if I can use this cash to purchase some mcdonalds or something. I really like what you guys got going on here. We should do challenges like someone posts up a random song and then we have to sample it and see who makes the best beat out of it. The songs can be whatever just random crap. Let me know what you think.

Rep Points- Doesn't really buy you anything. It's just overall reputation and commitment value to illest lyrics. The more posts you do (like everytime you respond), the more rep points you get. If you did somebody a favor, or someone liked something that you did...they can give you rep points. Also vice versa...if you liked what someone else did...you can give them rep points as well. You just can't give out more than what you have though. (Like you can't give someone 100 points if you only have 80) Think of it as highschool in a sense...rep points = popularity. If you have alot of points...the you either post alot, have done alot to contribute to the site, or did something for someone.

Awards- For the most part...they are given out monthly. Categories such as: Rookie of the month, Top Poster of the month, Hype Award (thats given to someone who really promotes the illest name out there), Track of the month, etc etc. And then at the end of the year are the final categories and the breakdown of who reigned supreme under what categories. The awards don't get you anything really except for bragging rights at the most. Not only that but it's nice to get recognition as underground artists.

Illest Cash- Doesn't buy you a damn thing...especially not McDonalds. lol Illest cash is just there to spruce up your avatar box and name and stuff. Change the colors of shit...nothing special. Of all things on the site...illest cash probably has the least use of anything. lol

But at somepoint...
There will be ways to get things that are available down the road. Such as illestlyrics T-Shirts...other artists mixxtapes...shit like that. Illest has writers (text artists), emcees (audio artists) and producers (beat makers) floating around all over the site. It's not a major importance to read where your posting before you drop a thread...but it helps keep the site organized. So if you have beats you wanna show off...then put 'em in the Producers Lounge. Finished tracks goin in the Creation Chamber...Texts and anything written'll go in the scriptures. Site suggetions and ideas you can throw in The Chill section. And so on and so on.
