Do yall think they are racists [against white people]? I'll hold off on my opinion for a minute, but I wanna see what yall have to say.

ICP & dead prez are completely different. and im not talking skill level. ICP is supposed to be shocking and basically ridiculous. Dead prez is issue oriented rap. They talk politics and culture. Im POSITIVE what they are saying is not a joke. Those are really there beliefs. Im just wondering if people see them as racists. They are socialists, that undeniable, and i consider them racists. But im wondering what others think.

iuno considering i don't listen to white supremacy music... and it depends on what you mean... cause all i listen to is hip hop, rock, jazz, blues, reggea, traditional country, heavy metal and thats it so if you consider traditional country as "white supremacy" music then yeah i just consider it as music

no not really, they speak on race alot but a dead prez song is alot different than a KKK rally

they speak more about oppression than superiority
Respect this, specialist, black, testing this and get ya necklace jacked
Your after name scratched up off my guestlist, party freak
You the type of nigga that'll hardly speak unless you spoken to
You throw a cold screw but sober up when I'm approaching you
At the same time we postin two niggaz on that ass
Thats gonna do what they supposed to do the limelight
Snatched away from you because its my night
Killarm' blaze hotter than twilight, you better get ya lines right
Half of these crabs cant even rhyme right

I think your missing my point. I ment songs with white supremacy LYRICS. I mean racist lyrics, but coming from the other side.

I know, its way different than a klan rally.I wasnt using that comparison as the level of racism. I mean dead prez arent saying 'kill all white people' etc. Im not trying to claim they are. Its just they blaim EVERYTHING on white people and make it seem as if there getting held down by the man. They talk about 'oppression' as if its the 1900s and black people are getting lynched from looking at a white girl. I dont even know what the hell there talking about, 'we need to get free' and etc. Today in America, your the only person that can hold you down. If a white person and a black person are going for the same job, the black person will most likely get the job [even if the white guy is more qualified] because they dont want to appear 'racist.' To claim 'big bad whitey' is holding you down is ridiculous. Its too bad, because there good lyricists and i appreciate there passion, but it enrages me listening to there songs. well, a good majority of them.

A majority of the music thats created these days almost always has some form of racism. When you break down the lyrics you're going to find the artist being racist in some form. As far as the job thing goes you mentioned above you are very correct, and i dont think anyone can dissagree with that. Its pretty shitty that this is what the world has come to - picking someone for a job based on the color of there skin b/c the establishment is to scared to be labeled as racist. Racism is always going to linger especially in music. Obviously artists use there music to express what there feeling and all that and I think to a high extent Dead Prez is racist but thats just my opinion

its ironic, because affirmative action is institutionalized racism for the purpose of stopping racism. and that makes sense to some people, some how.
