My road

Post by NeverOddOrEven »

RhYmE ScHeMeZ #2

Drove on the road to success in the fastest of lanes
Forgot to attach all the brakes or put gas in the tank
Burned out, lost control, and then crashed into fate
Fell of the Rap Interstate with a splash in the lake
Carried away by massive waves saying I'm wack and I'm fake
Is that all it takes for dreams to start passin' away
Makin excuses saying there's too much stacked on my plate
Really just spending time doing things I actually hate
Plus I never see an increase of cash in the bank
Almost ready to sell my soul and start rappin with Drake
Wait...
Maybe it's possible I'm really not that insane
But I feel like a basket case with CDs in a plastic case
Stoppin all the fools that pass my way
Like "Check my shit out, bro! I promise you'll think these tracks are great"
"If I keep workin, I might open up for Masta Ace!
Supportin my music'll get these shoes strapped and laced
You'll never see somebody runnin faster on the path to fame"
You don't like my music, though? I guess that's ok
At least buy this jersey, I barely just got it Saturday!
Woops, gotta run! Got a 12:30 class to make
Barely passin' that cause of how bad I procrastinate
Feel like I'm in need of a faster way to pass the days
Instead of buyin a sack of haze
Relax to blaze
Smoke half the eighth, get the munchies and eat a bag of Lays
Listen to classic tapes, get bored, then masturbate
And pass out each night after I ejaculate
Sad to say, lately I can't even bag a date
Gotta get my ass back to the gym and get back in shape
Different gravity when I say that I make shit gravitate
And it don't mean I hustle when I say I'm packin weight
Can't complain
I'm blessed with a fantastic brain
All the ones I love say don't ever let your talent waste
It's a diss in disguise when fam don't congratulate
The fact it makes me mad means they're facts that I have to face
Masquerade a talent for each habit that I had to break
Eradicate my casual state and patterns that I fabricate
So that everything that I be spittin ain't just going down the bathroom drain
Life's a game of how long you can tax evade
I'm only 20 and already bout to file Chapter 8
Bastards fax me late
Sayin' that I've maxed my claims
So stressed, I feel like buying a whole tobacco crate
Smoke a pack and wait until my heart lacerates
Batter hey, batter hey, batter batter HEY!
I grew up with tears hidden behind Seattle's rain
Where trees make us act shady despite the shape the shadow makes
Felt the saddest pain to drop roses on addicts' graves
The only time in my life I saw my school aggregate
And we were too sad to really even manage waves
Spent half the day with our hands in our laps to pray
Hope he's somewhere up above in the astral space
Walking through beautiful, heavenly castle gates
Aggravated me how they could see the casket placed
Then take ecstasy at a rave daily till they trashed their brains
That was Seattle's way, didn't think I had escape
Not like the path was paved, I felt like a rat encaged
Tryna scratch my way out of a capitalist maze
Trapped to stay, every day gangs tag to flash their names
Threaten to beat my ass at school just for having A's
Walked past them to get home, mile and a half away
Started carrying a fuckin' knife just to stab if I had to, hey
Then one beautiful magic day
My shitty little life took a drastic change
A big ass, fat orange package came
It said "Congratulations" on it, I still have it framed
Welcome to LA with financial aid
Pinched my cheeks, "God damn, I am awake"
Grabbed a plane, locked my past in a Master safe
Thought about Mac Dre as I passed the Bay
Can't wait for this damn flight to land at 8
My cab was late, that's ok, I'm just glad you came
In Santa Monica, checkin out the Spanish babes
Thinkin bout the Ho ho hos with all these Santa names
Imagine my face, sun set, even the traffic's great
Fascinates me how black arrays can contrast in shade
The moral of the story is that there's rats and snakes
Don't be the first, or it will be your last mistake
After the buzz, it took me some time to acclimate
Battle victory ain't a static phase that's latched into place
Back on the road to success in the fastest of lanes
Climbing the social ladder, while music blasts through my veins
Use rap and education just to collaborate
With kids and actually change the world and get back at the same
Motherfuckers who are responsible for sadness we faced
My duty to the 99 percent and the families they raise
Back on the Rap Interstate, let the masses awake
We'll keep risin despite the gravity that capital makes
Word to the good hearts at my school, I know the passion it takes
You could've been rich, selfish, plastic and fake
And I know there's love in the world, there doesn't have to be hate
Now let's see how much every women and man can create

Yeah, I read this before, and I've got to say that, personally, I thought you wrecked it. It's full of too many quotables for me to even begin quoting. I wouldn't suggest changing a thing, it was on point with multies and the flow was pretty fucking smooth. The content also stayed true to the title, being a story of how your life is or has gone. Of course, being called rhyme schemes, lol, those were nice throughout, as well. This was deffo a good read for me, bruh. You gets props and respect from MonuMental on this. Stay up and keep dropping fire.
