I would have to say

Nas - Ether - Stillmatic

In reality it probably wasn't the best diss track ever wrote.

I can't pick a specific passage.

This diss track had it all though. He layed waste to Jay Z arguably the best rapper alive. He did it with one song. I mean what more can you ask for?

I mean people who would say Jay Z is a better rapper then Nas. But said Nas killed him because of this track.

Basically Nas said everything we already knew about Jay Z. Put it into one track. And everyone sat back and said OMG

Hahahahah yeah i give you compliments on pointing that out because that's one of my favorite songs i don't really like jay z that much i would have to say that Cassidy song "B-boy Stance" on the "I'm A Hustla" cd Which happens to be track #5 It's the whole song dissed to 50 cent.

Eminem - Stan - Eminem Show - Was probably the most innovative diss tracks of all time.

Eminem - Nail in the coffin - buried that shit -directed to benzino

Canibus - 2nd Round Ko - Off the album canibus i think - directed to ll cool j

Ice Cube - No Vasoline - Directed at Nwa - He told dre to stick to producing. lol

Common - Bitch In Yoo - Directed At Ice - Cube -

Canibus - Curriculm - 101 - Diss to Emimem - Not the most direct, but it was ill none the less

Jay Z - Take over - Blue Print- diss to Nas - it didn't beat Nas, it was still ill.

2pac - Hit em up - Any Greatest Hits - Directed To the west coast basically

I'm sure I'm forgetting some but them are some others that come to mind

are you slow? writing for a text battle isn't freestyling... and most people who text battle don't recycle random shit its pointless so quit making excuses to why you suck dick at writing. when did you see me typing freestyling determines how good an mc is? basically none of the industry freestyles all the shit on mixtapes labeled freestyles are just random prewritten verses that rappers didn't use for songs... commons the only one i can think of that actually freestyles

even the cassidy vs. freeway battle cassidy didn't freestyle, he used a verse from a mixtape "freestyle" he dropped like a year prior to that
