So, I took it upon myself to throw some stuff together due to the lack of.... lets say "quality" in votes I've witness since being here for this short week.
Don't get me wrong, I like this site.. Its' active, and it seems that so are the battlers and voters for the most part. I just think that all battlers are entitled to broken down/explained votes.

So, hate it or love it. This is basically what I look for when modding battles on the site I come from.

each category has to be either given to a battle, or both.. or neither.. if neither battler used that category, or effectively executed that category. Further more, each category must have an explanation accompanying the battlers name with a brief comparison. (example, battler 1's first two bars were had really tight punches, but his last one was trash.. where-as battler 2's three bars were all dope. he executed and worded his bars better)

below, I've listed categories and definition to them with explanations:

punches- (insulting, and/or using concepts "dissing" your opponent on any level. also "concepts" in general, such as self glory.)
multi's- (multi'syllable rhymes.. two styles. consecitively used 1 syllables: i RAP the CRAP out of CATS who ACT WACK.. or schemed multi's (2 syllables or over): im RHYM-IN/GRIND-IN.. i kill-a-wack-kid/fill-a-back-quick, ect.
flow- (completely opinionative, its just how easy it is for you to read it without it feeling choppy)
wordplay- (a "play on words"..such as da-feet/defeat..i-rack/iraq. wordplay also covers similes (using "like" or "as if".. im a vet "as if" i work with animals) and metaphors (which are analogies like similes, but are formed without using "like" or "as if".. im a vet.. but i don't work with animals)
name play- (a flip on your or your opponents name, such as: (omega bill for example, from his perspective.) "you keep the name bill in your mouth like monica lewinsky".. bill clinton recieved a blowjob from monical lewinsky)
personals- (ANY personal information on your opponent used to "diss" them, examples: real name, avy, record, ect)

small explanation (2-3 brief sentences of why you thought the battler you are voting for won)

I don't know if this site will take to a system like this, but to vote like this keeps it clean and just gives more explanation to battlers, imo.

I'd like to edit the grammatical error but that's besides the point.

I wouldn't mind pushing something like this. Its not unfair to expect this of voters, for 9 out of 10, they themselves are text battlers who'd like the same review. Some of us do vote in this fashion, OTHERS OBVIOUSLY DON'T. Making this a standard is kind of redundant from what we ask of them now, but you do provide a more in depth look into what each category signifies. Many would gain from reading this, but ultimately, I still think if a vote isn't challenged on the battlers behalf, then why should I step in? I wouldn't mind, but if you're ok with the outcome, and your opponent is ok with the outcome, then why should I step on toes and say NO, if it's not my battle?


All in all, I wouldn't mind being more stringent on the rules we have, which mirror these in all honesty, but i don't think it's my place to step into battles without being asked... and say "HEY, YOU THERE, DROP THE CRAYON".

Ill enforce this as I always have, when I'm asked to. If the Admins decide this is the way no matter what, I will enforce this as the new way.

similes are comparisons using like or as, not necessarily "as if" lol

nameplay is the use of the opponents name in a punchline or wordplay

we focused on the main categories for house rules which are punches, personals, and flow

during which case, flow would involve multis or as i like to categorize (rhyme scheme)

if a voter doesn't follow those rules but atleast explains in an elaborate way such as for example

cripplednipplefag had better punchlines and was more creative with his wordplay, also dicknosedbitch did not really have a good rhymescheme(or multis or flow), even with dicknosedbitch's personals, cripplednipplefag took this

now that used pretty much all the main cateogories, without using a ladder, reason we removed all the categories and focused on the 3 main ones, punches, personals, flow, is because i myself had issues where i had 3 or 4 categories, but my opponent had punches and personals, andi lost, which goes to show that punches and personals in a BATTLE... are the keys to winning, not fancy bullshit, which is better for writtens or audio, that's how the 3 categories rose to be dominant and normally if u take 2 out of those 3 its automatically decided who did better,


if u took the time to read the rules like i said it's as fair as it can be, voters will still vote, but that doesn't mean their vote counts, yea a mistake was made due to splash's vote, but joe said nothing about it, or we would have easily dismissed his vote, and u said nothing about it either, until after it was done, we approach matters such as these with no hassle involved, just tell us, link it, and see it done, if we feel there's no valid reason to not count it then we'll let u know, just because u see "i vote for yourmom" in the thread, doesn't mean we will count it, whoever closes the battle which is only a mod or an admin will look at the votes and see what are clearly bs votes, but like i said.. when it comes to shit like a quick expo but not a good breakdown.. its up to THE BATTLERS to bring it up... if u feel cheated or like a vote for yourself just isn't right.. say something, if not.. then its your fault not ours.. for the most part we advise people to break their votes down or explain it better, its ultimately up to the battlers to validate it or not, and NO we won't be deleting bad votes, they lower people's post count, and they also are a reminder of what NOT to do in a voting situation, and it shows who sucks at voting lol

You are either telling me I am ignorant and incapable of considering a realm outside of the one we have, OR, you see where I am coming from and although it's different from where you come from, it has it's benefits.

I'm not saying your suggested system is bad, but I am saying it's similar to what we already have, we just don't have dick head mods and admins, unless summoned.

Admins, I would like to see the category breakdown insight go on a sticky somewhere or in the elevation so i can refer dumb voters... I have noticed some people lack in the department of intelligence. I wouldn't mind PMing them this when ever they do some dumb voting.
