Hello! I'm new to the board, but it seems like there's a nice community here so I figured I'd post something. Alright, I write occasionally but usually just fractions of verses. Any criticism appreciated.


Aging Too Fast

I've written so many lyrics of songs, about lack of oxygen
but it's hard to think outside of it, when I'm feeling boxed in
There's no hiding it, life can be a bitch, or a tiny prick
depending on if the knifes dull or diamond tipped

listen; this is the last you'll have to ever hear of me
I've got an itching ambition that's forever steering me,
there's really only one way to know your final limits
I'm just a vessel-less captain looking for a ship to sink with

i remember when, life was so fast that it would spin
roller-coaster throw your hands up and laugh; a mast to the wind
tomorrow didn't matter, never thought to ask when it would end
now I'm living in the past like I'm trapped as a kid

thinking what if I could go back, would it change a thing?
to know that someday, maybe it wouldn't be so amazing
I'm saving none, using all the introspection i can garner
to figure what when wrong, i guess i need to recollect harder
