Joseph "Reverend Run" Simmons and wife Justine Simmons announced last season on their MTV reality show, Run's House, that they were expecting a baby. Last week they revealed the newborn girl died a short time after delivery.

Simmons, from the legendary rap group Run DMC, was at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood New Jersey on Tuesday (Sept. 19) for the birth of his child. When doctors delivered the baby via c-section, they realized the baby girl was born with organs outside the body, reports TMZ.com. The newborn died a short time later.

Justine's pregnancy was the cliffhanger on the MTV show last season, which left viewers anxiously following the pregnancy and awaiting the birth. MTV film crews were filming last week at the hospital, although it is unclear if they were in the delivery room when the tragic event took place.

Run and Justine have two children, Daniel, 10, and Russell, eight, while the rapper has three children from a previous marriage, Vanessa, 22, Angela, 18, and Joseph, 16.

organs out side the body?...hmmm and that couldnt be caught by an ultra sound?...crazy shit...doctors cut too far i bet and ended up cuttin the baby too...ahhh..not cool!..lol i would sue for dat..hahah n win!...seems the most logical...how else would it have survived wit its insides floating around...outside

thats pretty fucking weird.. especially at the name reverend run and his baby dies.. and the organs on the outside of the body.. i wonder how that looked.. but in all its sad.. maybe run dmc shouldnt have started the material trend of my adidas
