As a fellow "producer" (more like beat dabbler), I feel the need to give you a harsher, yet constructive, critique of your beats in hopes that it'll help you improve. I'm digging the sample, but its very repetitive, as is the beat itself. The drums are really basic compared to your other pieces I've checked out. When I first saw the thread and noticed you sampled Jimi, I was expecting some chopped samples blended so well together that you couldn't even tell which song you used. That isn't the case, you basically just snipped out a piece of the guitar riff and looped it and through drums on it. I used to do that too, but I'm finding it too.... easy. Anybody can do that. I like where your mind was with this piece, I just don't feel like you portrayed a high enough level of creativity and originality. Its hard to sample a track and sculpt it into something new and original. This is a solid beat, the loop is nice, the drums compliment it well, but hearing some of your other work, I know you can do better. I think you can add a lot more to this track and make it much more entertaining and enjoyable.
