Still A Champion

Post by complexity »

(You're only as complex as you try to be - plex)

yo, I'm elevatin-my-sights, to the unsafest-of-heights, plex's ratings-have-spiked-to-ten
recreated-my-hype, chasin-the-lights-again, like a snake waitin-to-strike-with-pens
as great-as-I-write, for-them, when i'm faced-with-a-mic, is-when, I'm not able-to-rap
the cable-has-snapped, the age-old fable-is-back, I'm labeled-as-wack, its half racial-in-fact
I should cover my face-with-a-mask, we go from the future straight-to-the-past
but let's be faithful-to-facts, I cradled-this-craft, waxed some very inspirational-tracks
did an olley over the generational-gap, but in this industry it pays-to-be-black
its basically-math, besides if ur shady-or-asher roth, there is no escapin-this-path
I'm just takin-it-fast, as I wait-to-be-lapped, being patient, as I brace-for-the-crash
a fatal-collapse, i ain't even safe-in-the-back, they placed-me-in-last, i'm racin-the-pack
I wanted to rake-in-the-cash, but the industry is Samuel L Jackson they gave-me-the-shaft
how amazin-is-that, random-selection, I was made-to-adapt, my fans hand-me-a-wesson
to see how crazy-I-act, they are the ones enhancin-my-weapons, now I'm playin-with-ghatz
champ-and-a-legend,how are you suppose-to-battle-me, I'm the same person who wrote-finality
on a few occasions, a close-reality, I have lines that last-forever, without the coke-analogy
stacking-cheddar, a gross-mentality, back-and-better, fast-and-clever, with rapid-letters

Still a champion...you can't question my rise...
all that is left is my second demise..
correcting the lies..as I bless with the rhymes..
that only I can express, yes, its death on my mind..
what kind of legend am I, when I met the rest and defied..
but on my quest, testified that I was less than these guys..
I'm only as basic or as complex as I try...
I have to suggest, I'm still a champion..the best one alive..

I only have half-the-leverage, of a rich-man, mastered this rap-endeavour, without a fix-plan
I'll write-the-fate, of this pissed-stan, these biting-snakes, slip into the quix-sand
like the united-states, in afghanistan, track-for-track, you don't got me, hand-to-hand
I'm able-to-wrist-lock, I break-toes-with-this-drop, waste-no-scripts, make-no-pit-stop
i'm the whole mattress if your a staple-for-hip-hop, I commit crimes-ballistically
"I'm A Champion 2" defines-the-missing-piece, I rhyme the kind-of-shit-you-see
in sci-fi, with a mind-for-history, each line is timed-specifically, designed-terrifically
with an outline, hieroglyphically, you might die-inexplicitely, if you decide-to-spit-with-me
I-will-rip-MC's with ease, I'm on a higher-cliff, 180 degrees, that is about the size-of-it
hot-flows, have the expertise in this enviroment, fire-quick, something like a pirate
diss me, go on, try-it, a whole thread-of-rhyming, they say that my legends-dying
so instead-of-trying, i'm going to spread-my-diamonds, light years ahead-of-myans
axes in the battle field, heads-are-flying, I'm wired wrong, forget-complying
I'm electrifying, check-the-timing, u have at best a split second to get-a-line-in
rectifying-the-game, exercising-your-brain, you thought I'd supress-this-fire-man
you best-retire, get an entire-plan, I'll blow up the spot, like macgyver-can, next I'll try-iran

A tyrannical michael angelo, I'm a champion, rhymes are mechnical, Rambo, flow is exandable
one cameo, and I-show, I can stand-with-pros, on demand, like I ain't a fan-of-HBO
when the hammer-hits, I switch to my glamour-shit, the champ-is-sick, he can't-be-missed
I'm going to revamp-my-spits, the one I plan-to-pick is politically incorrect, a perfect candidate
Where I Stand 2010, dust off that old manuscript, to be honest, I might have to blast-a-tech
cause Ruckus, with a Chainsaw, for Mass-Effect, use that blade to slash-your-neck
after-death, you're still not past-complex, to bite myself, let me set-this-straight
I'm Warren G, here to regulate, but under the surface I'm boiling like a magnetic-plate
you must have a genetic-trait to emulate pathetic-fake losers without poetic-taste
at any-rate, I can accelerate, elevate the game to a level it would never-make like its featherweight
like jon I should dead-a-kate, I would beat every-great rapper that you'd ever-face
generate petty-hate because I resonate, in many-ways, I'm a Renegade, forever-great
i should get-with-drake, escalate like the escalade, step-on-stage, stressed-with-rage
weapon-raised, directly-aimed, in life there is no real lessons-gained, success-is-strange
to me nothing means less-than-fame, let-the-game, judge my every-reign, in affect-the-same
take every title I have yet-to-claim, just bless-my-name, complex, until his death, the best-remains..

Overall, sick drop. The first verse was by far the best. Very nice multies and rhyme schemes, that "olley over the generational gap" part was sick as hell. I was like "daaamn" lol. The second verse was good too, but the middle rhyme scheme was a little too busy for my liking. It was still nice as hell, maybe its just a personal pet peeve since I try to refrain from -ation and -cally based rhyme schemes. But you can stretch those out for bars and bars and bars. Third verse sounds familiar, at least the second half. Maybe some chatbox shit or somethin, I don't know. Either way, its clear that you still keep your talent polished and clean.

like the united-states, in afghanistan, track-for-track, you don't got me, hand-to-hand

This shit is dope as fluck, good looks on actually
Dropping a complete joint with verses and a chorus,
"Textcee" cats don't acknowledge that it takes more
Time and skill to stay consistent for a whole song
As opposed to just one 16 bar verse. Although the
rhyme scheme seemed to suffer a bit due to the stretched
bars, yet the multies laced in 'em were dumb ill.

"should cover my face-with-a-mask, we go from the future straight-to-the-past
but let's be faithful-to-facts, I cradled-this-craft, waxed some very inspirational-tracks"

"how amazin-is-that, random-selection, I was made-to-adapt, my fans hand-me-a-wesson
to see how crazy-I-act, they are the ones enhancin-my-weapons, now I'm playin-with-ghatz"

^those rhyme switch ups were perfectly executed, sick shit.

" only have half-the-leverage, of a rich-man, mastered this rap-endeavour, without a fix-plan
I'll write-the-fate, of this pissed-stan, these biting-snakes, slip into the quix-sand"

^ill opener, again, laced with nice rhyme switch ups.

I'd quote more, but I aint got that kind of time, haha
the whole shit stayed mad consistent all the way through
this shit was raw.

See, my problem is... I can only read this verse in my mind... I droppin spit all over my keyboard trying to read it aloud.. haha. Shit is really complex.. the multi's are exquisite and I see you've perfected this style.

I'd love to hear the audio on this.

Too many quotables but I'll list a few that stood out to me...
"should cover my face-with-a-mask, we go from the future straight-to-the-past
but let's be faithful-to-facts, I cradled-this-craft, waxed some very inspirational-tracks"
.. I also was diggin' the racial in fact.. being black line too.. I feels ya!
