The house has raised your monthly bills and gas prices, if it passes the Senate, which might not happen after this backlash, then the president will sign it.

This bill isn't all bad news, as conservatives will attempt to tell you. There is always two sides of an issue for a reason.
We have passed legislation like this in the past to encourage technology, I'm not saying, that I support this, because the middle class/poor people (me) don't have the money for these extra increases in their bills.
The benefits are clearly the focus on nuclear technology and other cleaner energies that will help our environment, maybe less cancer, who knows, and possibly in the future, cheaper energy.
The negatives are clearly higher bills, a hypocritical approach to global warming, if you truly believe in global warming, this won't really make an impact, loss of jobs that people are employed in currently, and further damage to industries that are struggling that are part of the framework of the US.
I have been worried about this legislation for a while now. I'm opposed to the premise, a bit uneducated about all of the flaws, but I know that this will have negative effects in the immediate future, which obviously is not good.
No. Its not the end of the US, no its not the biggest tax hike in the US history, no its not as bad as it could have been if Al Gore was elected. Think about it, learn about it, and make your own decision.
I've gave you only a brief introduction.
