Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Helen I. Bendix has ruled that Snoop Dogg and Priority Records have three weeks to settle a $2 Million dispute over CD royalties, according to the Press-Telegram of Long Beach.
Snoop filed suit against Priority in November of 2006, claiming the label owes him from a 1998 recording agreement, and that the company did not consult with him about releasing his greatest hits CD.
Snoop also claims he was never paid the $950,000 advance he was promised after he recorded the album "The Last Meal."
Both sides were attempting to resolve the case without going to trial. Bendix ordered the lawyers to report back on March 26 on the result of the negotiations.
