I'm not going to vote republican all my life because I'm scared of my taxes being raised.

I'm also not rich as of yet. So, my taxes won't be raised very much.

I don't want taxes raised (who does) but it's worth paying a couple more hundred to not have an idiot representing my country.

I'd appreciate a more competent government if I'm going to pay anyone money.

John Mccain doesn't scream competence to me. Trying to get that immigration legislation signed in the "dark of night" as Beck said.

Sounds like a Bush tactic.

no one said vote republican. you KNOW im not a republican.

thats exactly how you, and the rest of the public, will be tricked into giving away the overwhelming majority of your wealth.

"It just a couple extra dollars to help the poor"

You make it seem as if i'm picking a ridiculous thing to hang my hat on. Obviously, there are other important things going on in the world. But this is one of my major issues. Its not the fact you may have to spend $200 extra dollars in the fiscal year of 09. Its the fact they will ruin our country forever with there suicidal tax and economic policies.

Its not 'being scared of a tax raise', it is attempting to preserve what this country was founded upon, instead of reverting to the complete opposite.

sounds like a POLITICIAN tactic. Dont even try to tell me all politicians dont do that. Doesnt make it right, but it is unfair to single out one party for ridiculous tactis used by both.

I didn't say you were a republican. I said, I'm not going to vote for republican over that principal alone.

Of course, it's principal and the economy.

There is many more ways that we are straying from what our country was founded on then "socialized medicine"

Our government was also formed on trust. I'd rather get "socialized medicine" if the American people want it rather than bills that we are lucky to see.

Exactly. So why add one more to the pile. And its way more than socialized medicine, its there whole welfare / entitlement / socialist economic agendas. To say it is just health care over-simplifies the issue.

Thats an oxymoron. Atleast, it was at one point.
