Producer Dame Grease, known for composing DMX?s breakout single "Get At Me Dog," is encouraging all emcees to flex their skills over his beat for free, through Myspace.com.

"?I decided to give away one of my jewels and see who makes it hot!," said Grease. Rap artists can go to Grease?s page at the online networking tool Myspace.com, and download the beat, record a song and submit it for a chance to work on a demo with the Harlem producer. He plans to use the best songs on a new mix tape but also offers the beat because he knows the struggle of aspiring artists.

"I remember how hard it was for me to even get my music heard, and even today you have all these producers competing for that one single," he said. Grease claims the beat he is giving away would normally sell for $20,000. It will be posted on his page at MYSPACE.com until Feb. 23rd.
