Just joined and really impressed with the talent here.

I'm 31, been writing for 20, recording for 6. Made a hip-hop album in 2008, gonna record a acoustic vocal one here soon. I love to rhyme though ... so I'm putting a mixtape together as well.

I think I'm a bit older than most ya'll ... I've never made a dime with music but I hope you guys get as much enjoyment out of it as I do ...

Don't have pro-tools.

I have a entry level B1 condensor microphone, a two channel mixer, and a dedicated soundcard. I mix with Adobe Audition condensing and maximixing with "Waves" plugins.

Damn a condenser mic? Everyone always told me to go unidirectional...i'll have to look into that! I'll def be comin to you for advice on quality, cuz that's really all my audios are lacking, that crisp clarity...I'm still fuckin wit CEP2 til I get the pro tools this christmas

I'm always pleased coming into the chamber (opps...the booth) and finding someone new that can really lay it down. Cyan, I have to say, welcome to illest...I'm 30yrs old myself and have released 7 CD's in the past 6 yrs that I've been doing music. I like your flow and structure...it's misleading and unpredictable...it doesn't have a "common" sound to it. You're very polished in your style and your choice of productions to meet your concepts seem to be up to par. You enunciate clearly, your presentation is clean, no major complaints from me on the mixing. Excellent drop...I give this a 9.5/10 ...definitely hope to hear more you here on this site.
