Felt I wanted to get this out for some feedback.
It's a short work but I feel I got across just what I wanted to say. No more words were needed.


Serene the snow’s falling through the air,
Surreal moments over which I’ve pondered and I do declare
That I have wandered and strayed from the path to which I aspired when I started,
Tired and exhausted I remind myself why I parted, ways of redemption –
I can taste them on the tip of my tongue,
But if embrace them I try then impaled am I
By the double edged sword of fate,
And ultimately naught but chords of pain is strung,
A withered soul in a body young,
The lies of time,
But silent the song of scars is sung, a bell toll of hatred, despise is rung,
And when death no longer waits, his patience run dry,
Then the warmth of earth I’ll embrace with ease, a well-earned sleep,
Born again to eternal peace.

Well I've never been one much for writing the street/gangster style kind of hip hop, I'm much more inspired by poetry, but as for my own creations I'd still consider them rap since that's way they're intended to be performed.
