ILLest's 'Top Ten'

A few of the members of this site have discussed that we would like to see everyone's view of who they believe are the top ten text battlers on this site. A list of the top ten text writers could be made as well, if you chose to do so. But, the original idea is for everyone to see where they think everyone else is, and perhaps for you to see where everyone thinks you are. This could help with match-ups in the near future, the "Great Debate" for who should be crowned champion, or at least be in a battle for the spot, and for the new cats to have an idea of who they need to take shots at, or to look for in helping step up their game.

A first place vote could count for ten points, a second place vote could count for nine points, an third place vote could count for eight points, and so on. After a week of this thread being posted (giving everyone ample time to see this thread), the votes could be tally and a final count could be made. This could be done every month, or someone could keep an eye on the matches every month and moves ranks depending on such. Almost like a league, but everyone chooses their own matches.

Also, this isn't an all-time list, but only should involve members that are currently active. Obviously someone that hasnt posted in two years isnt going to be able to partake in this for the future.

Well, there's the thought, here's the thread. Let's see who you think the top ten text battlers of ILLest are....

There's my HONEST opinion. I dont think you should be penalized if you feel you belong in the group. If everyone else thinks that's wrong, then Ill change it. If people are being silly about it, then your list obviously wouldn't count.

I'm glad to see Omega Bill made the list.

It's disappointing that C4 isn't on there. But he hasn't around, and the key word is active.

yea cee4 needs to be up there lol, but if this is just activity, well i think complexity should be up there, i never seen nobleone drop anything for a battle,

i hardly seen anything at all from demon, i know he's always around but i dont see much coming from him

i think abz deserves a spot up there, kau's movin on up, i dont know if i'd put toyh/yezzir in the top ten, i'm sure there's a few other active members that deserve a top ten spot, i know haz would be buttsore to not find his name in a top ten list lol, and personally i've seen better bars from him then yezzir

good list though, not the order i'd put it in but nonetheless good list

Cee4 (Although He Lost To Jack, I Still Believe He Could Of Came Harder, and That He Remains Number One Creativity Wise)
Jack Da Rippa (Dudes is Tight, The Way He Sets Up, And Words His Bars IMO Are Perfect. Alot Of Dudes Don't Word Their Shit Right, Which makes The Bar Not As Hard. Plus Jack Doesn't Come To Complexed Where u Can't Tell What He's Saying. No Matter Who He Battled, He Always Came With Some Of The Nicest Nameplay & Punches Used On THIS SITE)
Scott James (When He Isn't Copy & Pasting Lyrics, Dude Comes Pretty Good. Only Going To Compliment Him For His Personals).
Dynamiq (Other Then Ambition, He's One Of The Most Complexed Guys On Here. Although He's not My Favorite, Or My Style, On Other Sites He Has Some Of The SICKEST Wordplay I've Seen, Which i Enjoy Most. Even Though He's Not Battling He Sure Is One Of The Best Here)
Quix / Ambition (Idc What No One Says Ambition is Nice. Some Of His Recent Drops Were Weak, But Dude Has Skill Though. I Think He's Experimenting, Trying To Find Him Self..But If The Old Him Came Back (Which Im Sure It Can), I Believe He'd Mop The Floor With Dudes & Start Winning Again. Quix is Also Underrated, Just Because HE Doesn't Come As Hard In Some Battles, Y'all forget About Him When He Is Dropping Flames. If Him & Ambition Would Stop Beefing, I Think They'd Make a Good Team If We Got New Voters Who Aren't Light Weights, And If Ambition Changed Up His Style a Bit).

That's My Top Choice, IMO All Of Them Have The Potential To Give Each Other A Little Competition. If I Was To Make The List Longer, Anti Matter & Rugged Eros Would Be Added. Anti Came Pretty Nice In That Explicit Battle. He Claims Noble Can Even Beat Him, So I'ma Take His Word For it, Idk If He Meant Text Or If He Was Just Aiming At Audio..But Well See.

Well, ahving an order is what makes the point system work, but right on, at least some people are voicing their opinions. Definitely glad to see people doing so.

Anyway, here's my top ten list:

#1 - Jack Da Rippa - Dude drops the best punchlines and always words them for maximum effectiveness. Sick with name play. Also one of the most active battlers I've seen here.

#2 - Scott James - Was fairly active until recently. Comes hard with some nice wordplay and personals.

#3 - M-Vario - I think I've only seen him drop once since I joined but it's one of the best verses that I've read since I came here.

#4 - Hollywood(Drunken) Jesus - Again, hasn't dropped much but I don't think many cats here could fuck with him in text.

#5 - Rugged Eros - Definitely the most active battler on the site right now. Though he seems to pick on the newbs he still writes a good verse and I think he could compete with the other top battlers if he put his mind to it.

#6 - Ambition - I kind of thought he was just a dick at first who wrote a bunch of nonsense. But I realize he's writing a lot of good wordplay that can be a bit hard to follow sometimes. I think a lot of peeps are sleeping on him, too.

#7 - Quix - Writes good verses. Plain and simple. Not much to say here.

#8 - Omega(Alpha) Bill - Never writes the best punches or wordplay but always comes consistent with quality.

#9 - Evolution (Ekoms?) - I've only seen one drop recently but it was a damn good one.

#10 - AntiMatter - Has written some good shit and I think he's an up and comer that the vets need to look out for.

My order might be a bit wonky I think these are the top ten, overall.

I like how peeps keep mentioning Amb, with having him in my loss column. Makes me just want to rip him again and prove a point lol.

Flip- I really wasnt trying to have beef in this thread homie. Didnt mean for this to stir shit up, but at the same time, I knew it would happen.

Everyone else- I hope you participate. I think this is good for the site and the text battlers that are here.
