NO....50 cent is signed to shady/aftermath...... G unit ( as a group) was being distributed by Interscope....all they did was severe ties with Interscope & sign a distribution deal with EMI recordsCre@T!Ve wrote:Wait.. Arent They Apart of Shady Aftermath?

Doesn't really impact them much...EMI is not the distribution machine that Interscope is...but its still home to artists like Lenny Kravits, Evanescence, nickelback, & Snoop Dogg.....plus EMI will be putting out Lloyd Banks next album & Tony Yayos next album, which interscope wasn't gonna do

A) 50 has said it before, they don't sell, he can't just pick up all the slack. 50 still makes money even if his albums flop.
B) On a label like that they aren't expected to sell much unlike Shady, so that's good.
C) Bet you 50 Cent is still getting some of that cash on the back end of them contracts.

Re: G-Unit Signs To EMI Records.
The reason Banks hasn't sold much is due to his loyalty to 50 cent. He can't do any songs with people 50 has beef with, so basically that meant (while making his first 2 albums respectively) he couldn't do a track with R. Kelly, jay Z, jadakiss, Nas, lil wayne, ...etc...& now its bad timing.. he has his biggest hit with B.B. or Bentley & has no distribution to be able to put an album out..then he does a subpar remix....there's money in Banks, but if it wasn't for his loyalty to G unit, he could be on Fabolous' level.......oh, & there's no money in Tony Yayo
