We are here with Scott James. In my preview for the Interview, I called you controversial. Do you feel that you could attribute that trait to yourself or is that strictly from your battle style?
What up. In all honesty, I like being controversial. I think that the most recognized and respected people all have had controversy in one way or another. i dont believe the word is bad or has a negative meaning whatsoever. I mean, look, people who have aquired the title 'controversial', in my opinion, means they're a somebody. They've made a name for themself one way or another and you cannot hate on that. Like, look at all the stars/athelets in which controversy surround them. Kobe Bryant, T.O., Mel Gibson, Eminem, I mean the list goes on and on, and judging by those peoples, I'd say controversy just makes you more notable. Adds character. You know what? If i didnt use my name as my Illest name, i'd change it to Controversy... better yet..ControVERSE, lol... As far as it relating to my battle style, I dont know.. I dont purposely try to be, but if it comes off that way then so be it... U all love me!!
Good answer man. While we are on the topic of controversy, if we were to base the outcome of the Quix vs M-Vario battle solely on rank, it looks like you will be battling Quix. Tell me why you think that you can take the battle and also talk a bit about the possibility of battling M-Vario.
Easy. Quix a bitch and sucks balls at this text shit... LoL, nah, Quix been my boy since the beginning. Shit thinkin about it now i've known him for prolly like 5+ years now... So with that being said, I know quix's style a lot. I know who he is and who he is not capable of beating.. I think everyone always has room for improvement and where Quix needs improvement is where i excell. Which is why I am confident I will win that battle. i could sit here and break down quix's text game but I wont.. Like i think it just boils down to the fact of who wants it more? Him or me. I take my time on my verses a little more than prolly most emcees on here simply cuz i absolutely cannot stand losing. Its something i've always been bitter about. Even back in the days of little league baseball n shit, haha..i remember one time we lost a close game (i'm prolly about 10 years old) and i was so pissed off that i took my cleats and dug up home plate and threw it at the backstop!! My pops has it on camera. classic. Anywho, I think that is why I will win. I will brainstorm more witty punches and take me time wording them so they hit hard as possible.. bottom line, he's dope but im doper.
M-vario? who? kidding. dudes got mad potential. I like his style of writing I just wish he would structure his bars a little differently. Its like, you're reading his lines and before you know it, the bar is over and you missed the punch therefore forces you to go back and re read it, which is never the same the 2nd time u read it, cuz the element of surprise has been taken away.. If I battle MV again, I am certain it will be another KO. No disrespect to M-V at all, but lets be real here... Im just a better battler.. jokes. what up M-V!!!Quix is upset again!

I don't know which one is longer, the list of wack MC's that Quix has defeated in his profile or your answers to my questions. If you don't mind, let's shorten it up a bit. How did you become this monster of a battler, furthermore, what do you think is your biggest strength/weakness.
first of all, everything about me is long son! get used to it!... and LoL @ the cats hes beaten.. yeah i mean i personally dont need to make a list of people i've beaten especially ones no ones heard about.. It make sense if you had a list that said you've beaten, Domino, Rippa, Cee4, Arv, but its not, its a list full of "hazards"..i mean who HASNT KO'ed that guy?! LoL.. I have no idea why I got into battling, and Believe me, i was never always good! thats a fact. I just liked the fact of embarrassing opponents. Plain and simple. My biggest weakness is prolly my "filler". I get so excited to write the punchline that i just scrap together some mediocre multis and call it good. Im trying to steer away from that though... with that being said, my biggest strength is my nameplays. I thrive off of them. I can literally look at someone name and all these nameplays just immediately come to mind...Its a shame what happened to Jack, however i had some crazy Jack da Rippa nameplay.. Stay Up Ripp!!
As you've become a bigger part of the site; it obviously becomes harder to shit on it. You mentioned the colgateless purveyor of bad breath himself, Domino. He hasn't always had the nicest things to say about you. Is there any bad blood between you and him or any other dissension among the site vets and yourself.

Good question, however i disagree. I only throw a universal punch here in there to mix up the verse a bit. The constant nameplay gets repetitive so im told, and sort of agree. I say my verses are 80% nameplay with 20% universals. and in all reality, votes is what gets u the W, not originality. now do i try and write for votes? not really. I always try to come original as possible. I try to think of nameplays that havent been used before which is why I think im 10-1. and all in all i battle to win. and winning is what i do best!

plex - good leader. his name lives up to who he is. complex. has proper english and puncuation which i can appreciate. is very articulate. he is a good writer and knows how to rhyme. i wish this bitch would stop being a pussy and battle more, i'd to battle him someday.. i know this guy has some crazy wordplay that could come about. i heart plex.

man u know i really hope to make it someday. i really wanna read my battles over the radio and become the first textcee to make it big! LoL. nah. i mean, this shit is fun for me. its something im good at and passes time. stress reliever. so not really much of a future except i thrive on being the best so that is my only 'goal' i guess u could say.
