Colossus - Divine Struggle (HOT)

[Colossus]

the sky parts in darkness, the Earth shook with thunder bolts
fiery sun on the horizon, seen through puffs of smoke
under cloaks of ebony, they readied on the Eve of War
demons with swords were lead to join the evil force
the fiendish lord, sat atop a throne made of bones
and kept Jesus's soul trapped in the fiery coals
his irises glowed with flame, but the night it was cold
angels sharpened their arrows & tightened their bows
the flight of the crows, signaled for the fight to unfold
the light it arose, on God's command, ignited & glowed
then lighting in bolts, struck the Earth like meteors
the fiendish hoards moved on & roared with evil scorn
creepin forth, as arrows unstrung, blocked out the sun
God's force was relentless, sent to get back his Son
the clash had begun, metal stung the flesh of both sides
the dark one sat, contemplating how to turn the tides
a fire churned his mind, black sweat formed and gleamed now
blood from the struggle flowed onto shores & streams now
the lord himself beamed down, and decreed unto Satan
no more this way would perish, and he would await him
Lucipher though belated, withdrew his forces as good faith
the battlefield cleared, though blackened and blood caked
the Earth stood amazed, the final battle we have waited for
bolts struck the trident, God's armor pierced by Satan horns
from the haze the lord, arose the one victorious
all was well again, the sun shined and it was glorious

This was a cool little story. I like the imagery and detail, really descriptive. Had some multies here and there that added some smoothness to the flow, but could have used more IMO. Dope topic, usually the religion pieces don't pit good vs evil really, but rather just state the person's beliefs. I don't believe in god or satan, but it was a good story nonetheless.

Word this piece flowed fire.. i really like this.. u made it all come together..Beginning middle and end.... this right here was a good transition ...to what i thought could have been a lengthy battle between the two..

Thanks guys, and year I've written longer pieces before but they aren't received as well. About the poetry part, I wrote it to a beat but I also had it in my mind to enter this into a poetry contest, but I never did.

but I guess ya style isn't all it's cracked up too
see ya flow is kinda semi-slow pick it up fool
but the concept was nice, keep that up too
