I bumped tha shit goin' from home to work for the last 2 days and I'm diggin' on these lines..

"No Love"
"Be good or be good at it
Fuckin' right I got my guns Semi Carter Matic"

"I got this world stuck in a safe, combination is the G Code"

"Get these whack cock suckas off stage, where the fuck is Kanye when you need 'em"

Spaceman

"I poured my heart out to you, let down my guard, swear to God.
I blow my brains in ya lap, lay here and die in your arms"
Drop to my knees and I'm bleedin', I'm tryna stop you from leavin'
You won't even listen, so fuck it, I'm tryna stop you from breathin'
I put both hands on ya throat, I set on top of you squeezin'
Until I snap ya neck"

Damn that went hard haha.

25 to Life

"You keep treatin' me like a staircase, time to fuckin' step"

i thought although it was better than his last two albums all the punchlines were terrible they were like shit hazard randomly types in the shoutbox when hes had one too many zimas

i mean he had like 3-4 where he just reversed words that weren't even palindromes, i mean wtf i was expecting a racecar line at some point

I understand what you're saying, tons of his punchlines are overly simply. But I also think that you're holding him to a different standard because rappers like Drake write even easier punches. Like basically any line that says "no" is about as simple as possible.

I agree though, its his best album since Eminem Show.

But the "tear you down from the balcony line" is pretty good.

i'm holding him to a different standard? comparing his punchlines to a more mainstream rapper like drake is a bit foolish if you're talking album vs album because drakes album didn't really have any tracks where he was babbling around battle rap/bragadocio while eminem had a few but drakes older mixtapes had tons of better lines than recovery did hell the few tracks of his i put on the last illest mixtape had better lines than recovery as a whole

i'm holding him to a standard set by his older work nothing more nothing less i'm not expecting some great lines & schemes or anything grandiose but expecting a few simple but clever one liners like sslp had isn't unreasonable especially in an album with alotta tracks where theirs no topic just random bragging & him saying what hes going to do to hypothetical people in hypothetical situations

jay hasn't met my standards to what my ideals for his albums should be but yet he still manages to come with shit on each album that makes me think he still has it, although as i said its better than his last two albums its nowhere near the eminem show & i don't think he can make an album as good as the eminem show again (which i'd say is his 3rd or 4th best album)

Agree with everything you said basically. If you put it that way.

I also don't think that its anywhere near as good as the Eminem show. Nor are his punchlines up to par with his Slim Shady days when he was much more creative.

I'm holding Eminem to the standard of his last two albums. I was just saying compared to most mainstream artists, it wasn't as bad as it could be.

Em will never able to do this again. He won't be half as clever or half as raw.

too an extent thats likely too be true^^ but they are telling the truth his lines do seem to be really cheesy and basic, which seems to be the rising trend in lyrics right now, and this is in no way his best cd, it's a good cd none the less but no where near some of his other shit, too be fair my favourite Em album is Infinite i'm sure many of you would disagree with that but meh
