What rapper's death would have the most impact...

on the game today?

Like how Tupac was in his prime, and the same with B.I.G., Big L, those kinds of deaths.

Lil Wayne. He's so far ahead of everyone status wise and has a cult like following.

50 Cent might have more fans, but if he died, it would be a lot less shocking.

Nobody would have the impact of Biggie & 2 Pac dying though. Because people use to worship hip hop artists, now, they are just one facet of entertainment with the internet, video games, and everything; they are a smaller portion of peoples lives.

You rarely see someone who is immersed by a rap artist, barring Eminem and Lil Wayne, that's also because the industry has invested millions of dollars in making the next big hit.

Eminem, no doubt. #1 selling hip-hop act of all time. Plus, how many countless white people started rapping after they heard Em lol. I personally know a couple people who may actually cry if Eminem died.

Only reason that I might disagree is because Eminem's loyal following is now in their 20's, and when they think of Eminem, they think of Encore and Relapse. They remember him as something else in the first place, so they are already nostalgic of Eminem without him dying. Whereas Lil Wayne's fans are right in the mist of Lil Wayne peaking, and just look at the reaction to him even going to jail, its madness.

I'm not much of a fan anymore, but if Jay-Z was shot and murdered tomorrow, it'd be a pretty big deal. On the Eminem thing though, sure a lot of his loyal fans have moved on, his death would be the event that would have everyone bumping his old shit again. He may not be at the pinnacle of his career anymore like Lil Wayne is, but he is respected by pretty much every hip-hop fan. Snoop Dogg would be another big one. But in terms of posthumous recognition, Eminem, Jay-Z, Nas, and Snoop would probably have the largest following. You'd have more t-shirts, song dedications, shout-outs, etc for these 4 than probably any other rapper alive right now. They are icons recognized by everyone including those who aren't even fans of the music, except maybe Nas. Which rapper do I wish would just die? Kanye lol. I hate Kanye like FlipSide hates 50.

i think rakim would get alot of respect from the rap world like 50 cent, nas, jay z,krs one, i mean more rappers would be upset over rakim then i think anyother artist but the nation would be most upset over jay z or lil wayne

dunno about Lil Wayne i dunno how many people would be upset about him dying really he brings out some good music but Jay Z and Rakim did or do alot better things to be more remembered than Weezy, but weezy has a couple of years to develop into one of the best if he has the ability that is

I would say HOV. Just for the facts that hes a living legend, and cuz with him dead the turmoil over whjo is the best alive now would be ridiculous. Jay wouldnt just affect his loyal fans, the entire hip hop scene would be flipped on its head til a new king took the throne.
