into passages of greatness that pass through airwaves
into the ears of the masses their fears are forecasted
careers end with "paper or plastic" so...
the thought of money sits the top of their brain
like ink spilled in water, can't mop the stain
but...their drops are so mundane,
cuz their thoughts only focus on a hop to fame
so I gotta explain my purpose on earth
is greater than entertaining with worthless words
no...I've researched my verbs since birth
and so my verse is meant for every tense to be heard
yo...there's more to life than money and cars
gettin crunk with scars and gettin drunk at bars
nonsensical talk doesn't make you a star
anymore than standing in a garage makes you a car
so...my challenge to you is to raise the bar
I ain't talking bench press, but you sick like SARS
if you think that hip hop is about getting awards
when you need to focus on elevating above par
