Mod for a Week/Month

I had an idea for a concept. I'm thinking this will keep some of us new commers more active and give the Admins, Mods, and Plex a break from their routine. The ideas is called Mod for a week or so. This is a temporary assignment for those interested to possibly clean up the site, start new topics and tourneys, and feel more apart of illest.

I myself have a few ideas for some tourneys such as a complex Haiku tourney, accapella audio tourney,tag-team MC/PRODUCER tourney and All-star fantasy league tourney that I'd love the oppurtunity to run. I'd even be willing to offer a prize from my own pocket.
The Mod for a day/week/month would run it and this will probably decrease No-shows as contestants will know they have a limited time that tourney will be extended to due to the fact the Mod has limited time to run it.

I'd love to be the first guinney pig to experience the day and a life of a Mod.

I don't know about the mod for a week thing. It could work, but take it from someone who's signed up for shit and just didn't feel like doing it, people might want to do it, then when it comes time to do their job, they'll be lazy. Maybe certain vets who would really be interested could be made mods, but that's up to Plex and whoever makes those kinds of decisions. That's just my opinion.

As far as the tourney. Yes. Alright, fuck yes.
I like those idea, especially the MC/Producer tourney.
It would be cool to see more variety, I honestly got sick with just doing text battles, and I wasn't even in to it that much. I would like to see more beat battles, but that wont happen, but those other tourneys would be great additions.

I agree. And I did promise you we would do that type of tournament. As we have in the past.

As for the original idea.

This is where it gets tricky. I love the idea of the allstar battle league, but then again I love the original concept, and that was kind of halted. I really can't just give you permission to run it, so it just stays dead in the battle grounds, which is annoying.

But yah, the mod for a week would be terminal. First thing, I'd personally like to see is someone start doing interviews again. I mean if we can't even get someone to do that, then what can we do.

I really can't stop you from starting any sort of tournament (nor would I want to). All you have to do is make a sign up sheet and if you get enough registrations then request a forum and moderation. That goes for anyone, and has always been Illest Lyrics policy.

...ahhhhhh didn't think of that. If we have a concept or idea for a tourney, all we have to do is get the sign ups started and request a thread. Got'cha!

Could start a text piece of the week or month. That might get heads posting more. Make it so they have to feed/vote on battles ect. to be considered.

Because seriously. Who wouldn't be recognized for having the dopest shit of the week/month? Same goes for audio.
