Lloyd Banks - I don't care for G-Unit much, but his albums are consistent and his freestyles are nice as hell
Phonte of Little Brother - I'd consider him somewhat mainstream. Dude has skills and needs more recognition.
Elzhi of Slum Village - has some crazy multies
Eminem - I don't think he really gets the props he deserves as a real lyricist. He can battle, he can do serious shit, he can fuck around, he's pretty versatile as an emcee and has some astounding writing skills as well as freestyle skills.
Eyedea - kid is sick, check him out. I believe he beat Eminem battling too.
All of Wu-Tang Clan except Ol Dirty - dudes have awesome flow, good lyrics, some of the first mainstream cats out of NY to keep it nice and grimey, but Ol Dirty fuckin sucks lol
Tash of Tha Alkaholiks - another sick cat that the industry has overlooked
Kenn Starr - a lot of you probably never heard of him but you need to. Kid is sick as hell with his multies and metas and has some awesome production for an underground cat.
