Feel Good Inc. (Rock Remix)

Post by Mass Effex »

I know this a hip-hop forum and everything, but I thought I'd just share this with you guys. Before you say anything, I know it can get repetitive, it's just the instrumental version. I'm working on getting the lyrics added at the moment.

jawns cool running a bass thru an amp was kinda stupid though cause then it fucks up the bass frequency room for an actual bassline without having the drive a regular bassline would imo a distorted simple synth square would sound alot doper on this + a simple bassline
Respect this, specialist, black, testing this and get ya necklace jacked
Your after name scratched up off my guestlist, party freak
You the type of nigga that'll hardly speak unless you spoken to
You throw a cold screw but sober up when I'm approaching you
At the same time we postin two niggaz on that ass
Thats gonna do what they supposed to do the limelight
Snatched away from you because its my night
Killarm' blaze hotter than twilight, you better get ya lines right
Half of these crabs cant even rhyme right

Well I'm not great with terminology, but what I did what run the bass through, then a took a couple EQ plugins and took all the bass frequencies out of the instrument. Then I made a separate bass track, with the same melody, not distorted, and layered it behind it. I don't know if that changes anything...

It was also a 2 multiband fuzz amps I used, so I don't know if there's difference between that and regular distortion.

not exactly sure what you mean by multi band fuzz amps, are you using the stock fl distortion hardcore kinda sounds like it it's got a metallic tone to it, amplitubes much better you should check it out if you haven't didn't like the new fender one much but the hendrix and regular ones are nice the bass ones pretty dope as well, all of them are cpu heavy but any guitar amp is

i'm not really hearing the og bass layered it doesn't pump nearly as hard as the original you should try layering a punchy fingered bass sorta similar to the og songs along with the distorted bass, it'd give the sound a lil more flavor cause it'd be 2 different instruments instead of just the same instrument raw and processed

if you wanted i could probably play something pretty ill over this, piano organ and some brass maybe

As far as my plugin I'm using Izotope Thrash, it's an amazing guitar/bass/drums amp plugin that's I'd actually recommend for you if you ever needed it.

And as far as adding stuff, that would be awesome, if you would be up for it.

I might be able to get my old aim back up and running, I'll see if I can remember the password. If not, I'll start one up, I see it could being useful in the future.
