Producing Question

Post by Mass Effex »

Is there a way to take kicks and snares out of a sample, or at least make them sound softer, so it doesn't affect the drums I add and make different snares sound different throughout the beat?

Possibly using FL Studio?

well not rly, it would be nearly impossible to explain to a beginner and its pretty difficult to do but your best bet is to layer your drums with the ones you're sampling....or sample a part that doesnt have drums...

Alright, thanks for the help. What does the process involve at least, cause I wouldn't necessarily consider myself a beginner.

its pretty much impossible to take drums out of a sample all you can really do is do an eq cut of the main frequencys of the hats kick and snare but its also gonna lower anything else in that range and it may make the sample sound worse, the best thing to do is to layer the kicks and snares with the original samples drums
Respect this, specialist, black, testing this and get ya necklace jacked
Your after name scratched up off my guestlist, party freak
You the type of nigga that'll hardly speak unless you spoken to
You throw a cold screw but sober up when I'm approaching you
At the same time we postin two niggaz on that ass
Thats gonna do what they supposed to do the limelight
Snatched away from you because its my night
Killarm' blaze hotter than twilight, you better get ya lines right
Half of these crabs cant even rhyme right
