my computer took a shit on me, so i'm gonna cop something new here soon

prob gonna go with a quad core with like 8gb of ram, was thinking about an i7 but they're pretty overpriced since they just came out and i figure 4 processors should keep me good for awhile

4 processors would be nice...i think they already got more than 4...heard some shit bout 8...but cant say its 100% true cuz i never looked it up...lol buuutt....build ur own computer...or get the parts n have the store u got it from build it...its cheaper and way better in my opinion....ive built my last 2 computers and the one i got now i built in 07 before the quad was affordable...lol so i only got a dual...but the shit runs like light on meth....if u get wat i mean...hahaha.....i can run all the effects i want with no problem....if u get a quad core u get more power in a sense....but if u get a dual core at a high speed...like 3.0 Ghz and higher theres no point in a quad core...i have yet to see anything even made for a quad core...such as games or programs....anything over 4 Gb of Ram is alot more than necessary...atleast for a normal persons use...in ur case...8 is more than enough if u want...get at me on AIM wenever ur on and im on...lol or message me on here...n i can talk to u bout it more in depth

yeah i'm gonna buy all the parts and put it together, last two computers i got were barebones so it won't be much more difficult then setting up my last two to put it all together

i was thinking about just going with a high speed dual core but i figured fuck it, might as well just go with a quad core so i won't have to upgrade to a new computer for awhile, quad cores dropped in price since the i7's come out, i think they got 7 processors maybe 8 i dunno exactly

& i'm gonna get 8 gb's of ram for the fuck of it cause rams cheap, i probably won't ever use more than like 4 running a buncha shit all at once

& i dunno of any games/programs specifically made for quad cores but quads don't have compatibility issues as far as i know, they'll run shit as long its the right bit, most are 64 bit like most dual cores most programs have 64 bit versions these days & 64 bit's will usually run 32 bit programs/games too

but yeah buying the parts and putting a computer together yourself is the way to go what i'm gonna get will probably only run me like 300-400 tops & something similar with shittier parts from dell or gateway would probably cost like a stack to a stack and a half

the processor i'm getting 3 ghz quadcore, i like that it has 32 bit and 64 bit compatibility, cause i'm probably gonna install xp and 7 on it

always had intel but this amd has good reviews & an intel at the same price would probably be like 2 ghz

word...yeah i got an AMD dual core 64 bit...problem is...dick head at da store sold me 32 bit Vista...so it runs 32 bit...not that it matters....cuz its still fast as fuck and runs everything i throw at it...i had 64 bit windows XP...but that shit wasnt actually officially released to da public so i had a good amount of compatibility issues...but that shit ran insane as fuck....so it was nice while it lasted..i just put Vista back on....cuz its not so bad anymore....Windows 7 tho...i wouldnt go with it yet...wait a bit...its got a really big security flaw...but otherwise its supposed to be sick as fuck....but anyways.... quad core...yeah itll last u a good amount of time....my dad got one...n told me he got his for like 110...which i paid for mine at the time that it had first came out...fuck Intel..runs too hot...and AMD's speed comparison shits all over it...lol....ummm i dont go online to buy shit i just go to Fry's electronics...they got good ass deals....and dont worry much about a video card...i assume u dont play much games so all u need is to be able to see...lol...like me....i dont need no great graphics card cuz i got a 360....i assume M.O.E. does play alotta games on his comp..which is why it came out to 1300 for da PC...lol...but yeah...Plex prolly knows other sites...but Newegg is pretty solid...i dont know if any other place really beats there prices online

i used 2 play games but i also did montages for halo3 and cod bak in the day so i needed a good editing program and i loved the speed of the cpu and just to be like yea i got that wat of it lol

ayo theirs an official 64 bit release of xp i'm pretty sure, i think the professional version came out in 32 and 64 bit but home's only 32 bit, i dunno i really wouldn't be too pissed about running 32 bit cause more shits compatible thats why i'm dual booting in case i run into compatibility problems & by the time i cop everything and put it together the bugs should be fixed on 7

& yeah i'm probably not gonna worry about a video card the motherboard i'm copping has a decent ati radeon or some shit on board, that'll be all i need cause the only real games i play are roms or emulators
