Well, it is interesting lol. A bit far fetched, yes. But so is every other religion if you look at it from a scientific standpoint. The idea of some alien race inhabiting a planet that enters our solar system once every 3600 years sounds foolish considering that most of this planet would be completely wiped out if our orbit was changed even the slightest bit and earth moved closer to or further from the sun. There are just way too many holes in his theory. For one, I highly doubt any form of life could withstand the cold and darkness of even Pluto, let alone being completely out of the solar system. Two, if they did somehow manage to survive that kind of environment, they would have never adapted to the extreme global warming that would take place while entering our solar system. Three, if this really does happen every 3600 years, I doubt we would exist. If a mass as large as a planet, shit even something the size of our moon were to come flying through our solar system, the gravitation pull from that mass would wreak havoc on our solar system. Orbits would be disrupted and the temperatures of our planet and any other close enough to have this 12th Planet's gravitational force act on it would change enough to either freeze this planet solid or boil it. But hey, its a cool idea lol. I'd believe this theory before I'd ever believe that some supreme being created everything in 7 days. A boat full of Cubans can't even make it to Florida, you expect me to believe that Noah put 2 of every animal in existance on a boat and survived? Ah... religion, isn't it grand?

Yeah thats the problem. If it goes too far out of the solar system, the gravitational force of the sun won't be strong enough to pull it back in and the planet will just continue on its path with whatever momentum it had until another gravitational force acts upon it. But like I said, in the very off chance that there really is some planet with an extremely fucked up "orbit" that gets slingshot around the universe and comes around every 3600 years, the temperature change alone from going to deep space and close enough to the sun for its gravitational force to act upon it would kill anything that had survived in deep space, which would be nothing because life as we know it cannot exist without water. I mean, the guy did some homework to cover his ass on a lot of things and yeah, it makes some sense in some areas but in others its just like wtf, thats not even possible. Just the idea of some super intelligent race living on some fucked up planet coming to earth to harvest gold of all things seems a little out there. Anything could have wiped out those ancient civilizations. I would place my money on some kind of epidemic or contagious illness. But back to the super intelligent beings thing. Gold? They travelled from who knows where to enslave us and get gold? Gold is valuable here on earth to some extent, but if they were super intelligent beings, why wouldnt they harvest shit like uranium or some other alloy or something that's actually worth a shit. Gold is pretty much our world's standardized currency and has been for centuries. Gold is one of the softest metals you can find, its pretty much worthless for anything but jewelry and currency. Who knows, maybe there's some hidden property in gold that we haven't discovered. Reminds me of another Bill Hicks quote though lol.
