This Was More Of an influence When i Started, Not So Much Now. Maybe Not So Much Content Wise But Scheme Wise And Perspective Wise.

Dre & Em - Forgot About Dre:

Mostly Eminem's Verse, Once Again an Early influence. a Lot Of Times ill Try And incorporate The Angry Raspy Perspective into Something i Write (Same With a Bunch Of Other Em Tracks) Such as:

Eminem - Bad influence:

The Tongue-in-Cheek Witticisms He Comes Out With, Great For Drops That u Want To Be Witty But Have Little Punchlines. This Played a Big Part in Scheme And Flow Too.

Eminem & Eye-Kyu - 313:

Far as Punchlines Go This is My Main influence, in Fact Eversince i Heard it i Started On The Punchline Tip, a Classic (But Not Timeless Lol). Pity We Haven't Heard More From Eye-Kyu.

immortal Technique - Dance With The Devil:

immortal's Mic Presence is Trash, But This Grimey Story Did Give Me a Lot Of Help When Writing More Story Themed Raps (imagery, Perspective And Structure Mainly), Lyrics in This Are Fucking ill.

Round The Time i Started Using Multis This Was a Big Help Structure Wise.

Best English Rapper Bar None. The Flow And Constantly-Changing Rhymeschemes On This influence Pretty Much All My Drops. Banging Track, The Beat is Sampled From Another Awesome Track By Tomcraft Called 'Lonliness'.

I can't really pinpoint exact songs, but I will try. But I have been influenced by a few artists. There's no way I can make this short though.

Eazy-E.
First rap album I ever owned was Eazy Duz It. I wasn't really a fan at first until I picked up a tape of It's On (187um Killa). This was the album that got me hooked on rap music.

Snoop Doggy Dogg
Doggystyle was another album I copped right away and loved. Murder Was The Case was an influential song, I always liked how he told the story. Great album, deepened my love of rap.

I spent my adolesence listening to nothing but West Coast gangsta rap. Snoop, Eazy, NWA, Dogg Pound, Dre, WSC, DJ Quik, Warren G, E-40, Too Short, 2pac, etc. East Coast rap never appealed to me until I heard Mobb Deep's Hell On Earth and Biggie's Life After Death and Nas It Was Written. I went through the whole No Limit Records and Cash Money Records phase too. Grew out of it quick. I didn't start listening to old school hip-hop and underground shit until a few years ago when the whole Crunk scene blew up. I got sick and tired of hearing the same beats, same lyrics, same artists working together and searched for something new, something fresh, something more enlightening. I started where anyone would look first, close to home. I stumbled on Atmosphere, Eyedea & Abilities, Brother Ali, P.O.S., Murs, etc. From there, my tastes grew and my collection grew as I heard new voices like Phonte of Little Brother, Cage, Aesop Rock, Blueprint, Supernatural, MC Juice, tons of other cats. Anyways, enough about that. On to what actually influenced my style of writing.

Eminem - I'm Back... his asshole attitude, witty lyrics, angry demeanor, and slick multies really influenced my style. I loved how his lyrics sounded on a track, the flow just sounded effortless and more fluid. Em has been a significant influence, probably one of the most influential artists I've listened to.

Nas - The World Is Yours... the dirty beat and piano, the multies, his whole delivery just caught me off guard. I liked how calm he sounded, the intelligence he portrayed through his choice of words. His story telling abilities. The man is a great lyricist and I've found myself feeding off his beats and style a lot.

Phonte - Raw Life (off Foreign Exchange album)... This man's delivery is raw and smooth at the same time. Clever multies and similies everywhere, but in a smooth, basic style that you can't help but vibe to. Laced over a 9th Wonder beat, its like Cool Whip on ice cream. His use of similies and his flow have been very influential to me.

Murs - L.A... He may not be the most lyrically inclined but the dude has a nice flow and a very addicting West Coast swag. Murs was like a gift to my eardrums when I first heard him. Raw subject matter, true MC skills, but reminded me of my earlier days listening to West Coast rap. Again, his flow and swagger have influenced me and a lot of cats think I'm from the West and not Minnesota.

Brother Ali - Chain Link and Forrest Whitaker... My favorite rapper, bar none. His music is great, his voice is borderline soulful and the motherfucker has a stage presence like a king. When this man gets on stage, you can feel his hunger. His energy and most importantly, his honesty have influenced me very heavily. He's shown me that being normal is overrated (he's a fat albino dude with a lazy eye and crooked teeth). This is late 80's, early 90's hip-hop's soul in the 2000s. Very sincere with his words but he can get vicious too, very versatile. I write most of my songs to his beats (same guy that produces for Atmosphere) along with a lot of 9th Wonder and DJ Premier beats.

So, to sum it up for those who don't want to read all that shit...

Swagger/Delivery: Brother Ali, Murs, Phonte
Flow: All of the above

All that combined with my natural ability of being a great writer (my English professor at Minnesota State wants to publish my essays from class), my artistic ability and life experiences have molded me into the emcee/textcee that I am today.

"Infinite" and "Biterphobia" by eminem. both of these songs are some of the most incredible lyrical songs out there. shit that makes you go DAMN!! how the fuck did he connect that shit together!!! thats how i've always wanted my shit to be like

"Regulators" and "G funk Era" by warren g and nate dogg. dudes just had this style and swagger that was personal to them. the way warren flowed, and nate sung was just sick. really helped me form my own style and flow.

Of corse all of 2pacs shit but most of all "changes" thats like the one and only song that got me rapping. made me feel like you can say more than people realize with rap. 2pac is my first and foremost influences, besides rakim but homie already explained that shit.

ODB- Shimmy shimmy ya. man that was just a fucking classic. that funny style. like dont take shit TOO serious. thats how i keep it. but at the same time delivering a message. shits dope

and every Dr. Dre song. dude the master... what else do i have to say!

Blackalicious "blazin arrow" another one of those songs that gets me wanting to flow more and more. always makes me sharpen my pencil and write some new shit.

it's Weird, a Lot Of People Get into Rapping Via The Westcoast Shit. That Said, The Day i Started Wanting To Write Was The Day i 1st Got Satellite in My Then-New House (2003 im Talking Here), Flicked Through The Music Channels, And 'Still D.R.E' Was On. id Heard it Before But Didn't Know it Was Dre (i Only Knew Who Dre Was Because Em Mentioned Him in Tracks), Either Way i Was Constantly Bumping That Shit For Months Along With The 2001 Album, Then The Chronic.

Also i Donno How The FUCK i Forgot About Biterphobia Lol. im Totally influenced By The Crazy Structures He's Got Going On in That (Aswell as The Random Ass Lines Like The Deoderant One Or The Spiders One), To Me He Sounds a Lot More Confident And Defined Than He Did For The Whole Of infinite (Which is Still a Great Album).

Yeah definitely check out Phonte of Little Brother. Dude is nice. The other rapper in Little Brother, Big Pooh, is decent at best. But man, 9th has some great samples and production if you like them old school soul jams. Definitely worth checkin out.
