Tourney soon?

Do it like a March Madness type tourney...Have seedings like 1-16...So 16 people can sign up by their previous battles people they beat to people they lost to sort of like College rankings they decide ur strength of record...And then come up with their seeding that way and then run a tourney. What does everyone think?

i like it it will def spark competition because i feel the common knowledge of the top text battlers on the site is unclear or corrupt and with this tourny depending on who joins it should def provoke a couple of fantasy battles into action

Like I say I'm big on records, and the seeding would be real cool...Or we can have like a season, get 16 heads in it split it east and west...8 in the east 8 in the west..Top 4 people in the east will make the playoffs, top 4 in the west will make the playoffs, then seed them obviously by best record during reg season....Then do a 8 man playoff...Definitely play around with the details more but it's an idea/concept.



Or like I said earlier just try and do a March Madness type tourney, figure out of 16 people who would get a number 1 seed and so on..Look at their record, opponents they beat and lost to (like the bcs rankings lol only fair and not done by a computer)...Just ideas guys thats all.

great ideas.. unfortunately.. a lot of people r inactive.. those who sign up.. end up waiting so long for everyone else to sign up that they forget about it or disappear.. then end up not showing...i might join that punchline shit just so they can start it, definitely not somethin i wanna do but if it means shit gets movin then fuck it right, main reason y i do most tourny's as far as that idea..sounds interesting...kinda fun to fuck with too, the ranking one i mean, but then again it wouldn't matter as long as people battle, too many no shows and slackers who either take their sweet time to drop verses.. or never end up voting...


i'll host up the tournament after these 2, i havn't hosted one yet.. and i've been disappointed by the previous tournaments, some people just don't do so well at runnin shit or just get caught up with other shit...i'll take that idea into consideration if all goes well, any ideas of wat type of tournament to hold next?

best out of 3(3 repeated battles)
2 round tag team

mixed element playoff

1st round topical
2nd round rhymesceme
3rd round punchlines
4th round wordplay
5th round everything (no topical)

best out of 3 mixed battles go on to the next so if u lose 3 times ur out, until there's 1 winner, no repetitive opponents till the end
