I just saw this shit. I'm not going to waste my time arguing with you back and fourth...So I'ma just say this...

There's alot of people who clown on others on the site. Some take it to heart, and others brush it off. Anybody can call someone elses mom a "cunt" or a "cum guzzling whore" etc, etc...
...but the point that the admins are trying to get across is that their are certain areas that are just foul and not wanted on the site. Talking about other individuals children, or a dead/dying relative, etc...fall within those guidelines. It's just tasteless.

Name calling, the endless racism...shit like that is just less of a concern because anybody can either ignore that, or someone else can pick up that arguement. Children can't come on the web and fight these battles themselves, and if you're too pathetic to go that route instead of being more "adult"...then there are words for that.

If someone feels that they're being harassed or are disturbed by something that someone said to them...they can report it. If they don't report it, or say anything of it at all, then we're just to assume that they're not bothered by what was said. A third party is not likely to be "offended" by what one person might say to another out of nowhere...but if they are offended for whatever reason, they can report it too. It'll be up to the admins judgement to decide if it falls within truely offensive lines. Some people like to cry wolf for no reason. That's why it's up to us to decide.

So bottomline is...YES, some things that are said are worse than others things. So quit trying to point out what you feel are "contridictions" and pick fights 8th cause all you're doing is knit-pickin because you don't like the rules. Tough shit...thats what they are. If you don't like it, go somewhere else. Quit trying to be some type of "Illest Patriot"...you're not saving the day for anyone but yourself in your own mind.

I'm not making a big deal about this just because. This hurts the site. When new members come on and see admins saying "you cant say this, you cant say that, etc" that makes people want to leave. Censorship is not why people come to rap forums.


The funny this is, I agree with you as far as not bringing family and shit into it. I personally wouldn't, for the most part.

This is how censorship ALWAYS starts. You begin to censor the stuff that everyone agrees is "offensive" or "cross the line." Then, you start to censor stuff thats a bit more debatable. Then so on and so on.


I'm not trying to be a "illest patriot" I'm trying to look out for the site. This is one of the reasons I think this site doesn't grow like it could. IMO.

I feel what you're sayin about the whole censorship thing, I'm not one to be tellin people what to do either. But it just seems like your damned if you do, and your damned if you don't! For the simple fact that we've been losing members to other sites lately, more than likely becuz nobody tries to regulate things over here like the other sites are doing. We're so free reign! But on the other hand, some people don't like it when we do tell them shit. (which like you said, could make them wanna leave)

We both have the better interests of the site in mind, I guess we just have different views on how to help it.

That's why I'm tryin to do it somewhere in between. I'm not sayin that there can't be shit talkin and all that other shit. The site would be boring without it. But I am having admins watch for certain things that way people who can atleast know that we back them up on some level. Thats why the admins have gotta look into the whole thing, cuz some things are just not worth crying foul over. It's a very thin line we're trying to ride without offending people along the way.
