After battling with his label Atlantic Records over the release of his third album, Lasers — and landing a March 8, 2011 release — Lupe Fiasco FINALLY debuted his Kane Beatz-produced first single “The Show Goes On” on Ustream.

Kicking off with a busy electric guitar, the song gives way to an inspirational melody, layering a platform for Lupe to give us his true hip-hop lyricism.

“Already the show goes on all night/ ‘Til the morning we dream so long,” goes the chorus. “If you are my homeboy, you never have to pay me/ Go and put your hands up, when times get hard you stand up,” raps Lupe on the ebullient tune.
