Legendary hip hop emcee Nas — who in unrelated news has a new album on shelves named “Untitled”– petitioned Fox News today with liberal advocacy organization moveon.org and black advocacy group ColorofChange.org. Nas made a short speech in front of the Fox News studio in New York. You can watch the coverage here.
The online petition received over 600,000 signatures of people verifying their belief that Fox News has been racist in their news coverage.
Fox News immediately released a statement, “Fox News believes in all protesters exercising their right to free speech, including Nas, who has an album to promote.â€, but refused to accept the petition.
Bill O Reilly, who hosts “The Factor” said on his program tonight that the alleged attacks were not true and promised to fight back against them. He went onto claim that they were the racists and a modern day Klan.
A spokesman for ColorofChange.org said the petitions were delivered to Comedy Central’s, The Colbert Report by Nas when Fox News declined the petition. Nas later appeared on the Colbert Report.
