Once again, what is an award show without Kanye West? The controversial artist took to the stage to end the 2010 VMAs with style tonight. Introducing a new single that is directed at all of the assholes and scumbags of the world. The name of the single is Runaway. And he dedicated the performance to his mother for some odd reason.

Nevertheless, Kanye brought his one of a kind energy. He drew off the reaction of the crowd to powerfully string bar after bar including this interesting chorus.

“Let’s have a toast for the a**holes/ Let’s have a toast for the d*****bags/ Let’s have a toast for the scumbags, every one of them that I know/ Let’s have a toast for the jerk-offs that’ll never take work off/ Baby I gotta plan, run away fast as you can.”

Finally ending his performance with the crowd chanting “Kanye” as the 2010 VMAs went off air.

Everyone remembers last year, when Kanye took the trophy from Taylor Swift (who by the way dedicated a melody to him earlier in the night). Much has went on in his life since that idiotic mistake. Basically he decided to leave the limelight for a good part of the last year. I don’t know if that was more of a PR decision, maybe just a reevaluation of his career, but its evident that Mr. West is back.

Dark Twisted Fantasy, West’s next album, is expected to be released on November 16th of this year. The first single Power leaked back in May, but was officially released on iTunes in June.
