What Bush Has Done Right On Foreign Policy

1. Boosting aid to Africa threefold
2. Preventing a nuclear war between India and Pakistan
3. Taking down the A.Q. Khan nuclear proliferation network
4. Getting Libya to give up its weapons of mass destruction programs and renounce terrorism
5. Turning independent-minded India into a strategic ally
6. After a rough start, sticking to a pragmatic China policy
7. Getting North Korea to shut down its nuclear reactor ... eventually
8. Decapitating some two thirds of al Qaeda's top leadership and not having a second 9/11
9. Giving immigration reform the old college try
10. Challenging his party over harmful agricultural subsidies while pushing free trade
--------------------------------------------------

Can you think of anything else, he has done right (not in the political sense) that, lets say 80 percent of people would agree with.

Thanks George Bush!
And saved a lot of lives with the amount of people dying all around the world. If we can save a few, I think, it's kinda good.

I disagree.

If we send 20 billion dollars a year to Africa for aid, and we help 5-10 people, thats not good.

It is noble, and it is a good thing when you can help someone. But it is not financial feasible or responsible to continue to spend BILLIONS of dollars on these war torn, dictator lead nations.

As i hope you caught from my first reply, it's not as if out 'relief' money goes to the people that need it. When we send 'relief' money to Samali, it goes to there corrupt, terrorist ridden government, who is then suppose to give it out. That, in large measure, never happens.

It's a "feel-good" measure, to make it look as if we are trying to solve the problem. Forking billions over to brutal dictators, in my opinion, is not the best way to go about that.
