Although, I enjoy listening to Hannity and Beck bash the hell out of Wright.
We do need to stop and think about all this information from a political sense and a cultural sense.

We shouldn't make a big deal about it.
After all, lets look at it from the other side. Say John McCain had been going to a racist white church for 20 years. Say an admitted racist was the pastor, and he gave fiery racist rants, while John McCain was in attendance. Lets assume this white racist said the EXACT same things "revered" wright did, just about black people. Lets also say this obvious racist married John McCain, Baptized his children, and was his spiritual adviser for his presidential campaign.
Im SURE the democrats and the media would give him a break right? It's not like they wouldn't rest until John McCain was politically, professionally and financially ruined if the same EXACT thing happened....no...that would never happen.....

Of course it wouldn't, because he's white, right? Is that what you're getting at? Of course you are. Why wouldn't you completely turn it around?
Flaw with your argument is though, I've never been to a CHURCH where they talked about hating another race, a church is a holy place, a place of worship, NOT a place to hate "whitey".
But of course, that's what it all comes down too, doesn't it? Nothing like a hardy racial debate for the black community to give the NAACP something to do.

How is that a flaw in my argument? Your right. I've never been to a church like that either. Barrack Hussien Obama has. For the last 20 years.

Word. Churches usually only hate on other religions.

The problem with your argument is Rev Wright has been made a big deal.
Plus if you go to any church for 20 years, which I went for several years. The levels of intolerance of people who're not like you, isn't an idea that Rev Wright invented.
The idea of bashing America for some of it's past mistakes has been done by respected authors for decades. It's been done by presidents.
If I ended up reading that book, I hope that doesn't make me unpatriotic like Barack Hussein Obama who doesn't wear that darn pin on "his" lapel. (why don't people come up with a new way to word that)
Of course, I wouldn't have to subscribe to all the points in the book.
I agree, it does show weakness in judgement to stay in a church that is so negative. Which we'll just assume for argument sake that's how it is on a regular basis.
I'll bet you if you got comfortable in a church for a couple years. Came to know the pastor. Accepted the church for all it's flaw and loved it anyway. You wouldn't be thinking, this could be bad for my political status or my morals.
Isn't the idea of Church to be outspoken against things that go against your religions teachings anyway?
The whole idea of black theology, which I'll admit goes beyond me. Is obviously the part that needs analysis and I have no problem with people talking about it.
Especially, finding out what Barack really does believe about it all.
I'm just not willing to go out up on the limb to say that the media is doing a great job! They are really finding out about Barack for us and I appreciate it.

What the media is doing is obnoxious.
They've been hammering over this wright situation for over two months.
They play the loops over and over again. To brainwash us and make it so we can't think for ourselves.
It's an assault on our intelligence.
Apparently, we don't understand it.

My thing is not the 'America bashing', its his rabid racism. He said white people create AIDS to commit genocide on Black people. He said the government created crack to kill black people. Thats not "bashing America for some of it's past mistakes", its anti-white and racist.

HE IS A RACIST. It's not like it's a design flaw in the building. He is a rabid anti-american anti-white racist. So how you can sit through 20 years of that, and not believe it, is beyond me.
Let's flip the situation again. Let me ask you personally. Plex, would you go to a church FOR 20 years, when the pastor said things like "Black people are the cause of all crime".."black people are just trying to murder us hard working white people" etc? These are the EXACT same kinds of things 'reverend' wright has been saying for over 20 years, just directed toward white people. Let me know if you could "get comfortable" in a church like that plex.

Thats part of it, yes. I'm not saying he shouldn't have the RIGHT to say that psychopathic racist drivel, be my guest. It's his opinion.
But is it also Barrack Hussein Obama's opinion? I find it incredibly hard to believe he would sit there for 20 YEARS and have this racist BAPTIZE his children and MARRY HIM, if he did not agree with him.
I PERSONALLY, wouldn't go to a klan type church once, let alone for 20 years. I don't care how "nice" the pastor is individually, if he is a crazy racist, that preaches his crazy racism. Maybe thats just me.

You can put any adjective in front of the word church and I wouldn't go.
The obvious answer is "no", I'd not go to any racist gathering. When I hear my grandparents being racist, that makes me uncomfortable enough.
I'm not trying to defend everything Barack Obama has or hasn't done.
The sensitizations, interpretations, and lack of any counter-perspective is what pisses me off.
