in true big daddy jesus fashion i'mma be honest on this
1. This is my favorite mariah carey track, so i'm not being bias, cause I like r&b
2. You're not jay-z the random "uh's" you do sound like a pedophile in a play pen
3. You have a mixer? Either you've gotta shitty mic plugged into it, or somethings severely fucked with it, cause my $5 mic I ripped off a monitor sounds better
4. A mixer won't make you offbeat, the only possible reason you could be offbeat because of hardware/software error would be if your recording program had latency issues, which is easily correctable by just moving the the recording slightly back so its on beat, but thats not the case because you're on/off beat so moving the track back wouldn't help much
5. Delivery & rhythm are crucial, it just sounds like you're talking & you mumble a bit
6. Remixing a song is retarded if its not going to even sound legit, if you want to rhyme over an industry instrumental go for it, but when you add a verse to a hit song if you're quality isn't on par its going to make the song sound shittier than if you would've just did a verse over the beat, the original vocals aren't suppose to compliment yours you'res are suppose to compliment the originals, and this didn't sound too flattering
I'm not going to say you don't have potential because basically anybody can learn how to rap if they really try, but at the level you're at you shouldn't be dissmissing any opinions as hate because you're not some special miracle of science because you rap, this is a rap forum, the majority of people on this forum listen to mainly rap, so isn't it logical that they'd have at least a theory of what a rap track should sound like? off your high horse tonto
btw i'm not saying all this in an attempt to belittle you if i was it would've been worded alot more meaner, & i'm not saying all this to discourage you from rapping or posting tracks, you just need alotta practice and study, listen to how rappers flow, listen to how rappers rap, you don't have a job and i assume you live with your parents so you have all the time in the world to record, write a verse everyday it doesn't even have to make sense it can be gibberish as long as the bars are similar lengths, and rap it over a beat 25-50 times till its embedded in your brain so you no longer have to think or stress when you're rapping and you can focus more on delivery and flow, another good exercise is writing a standard 16 bar verse and rapping it over 5 significantly different beats 10 times each then on one beat right after another without stopping, it will help you develop flow and rhythm making it second nature to be on beat no matter what the tempo

ima go wit DJ on dis....ur uh's...sounded like some guy gettin off on her voice..lol....your microphone...is utterly horrible...u def need to go out n get u a better one....the effect on ur voice...if there even is one...makes it sound distorted...and u being off beat and wat not is your fault..like DJ also mentioned only latency would effect that and u could easily fix that....u def need to make sure u stay on beat at all times...even if it takes u a million takes...the lyrics were decent..i say...get a new mic...n practice riding the beat...n there should be a good amount of improvement

Ok ur Voice is Repulsive On This. it Sounds Like u Have a Wah Wah Pedal in ur Fuckin Voice Box. So 1st Of All, Lose That Effect And Even Though it's a Slow Beat, u Need To Up The Tempo Of ur Rapping in This. Not Much To Actually Leave Feed On Since ur Verse Was So Short, But ur Older Tracks Shit On This, u Sounded Rusty, Stuttery And Lost.
So Yeah Follow DJ And Viral's Advice By Reading The Lyrics Over The Beat Until u Don't Need To Think. i Can Compare This To Playing Guitar Because Once u Learn a New Song it's Kinda Hard And ur Fingers Can't Naturally Just Land On The Right Chord, u Have To Adjust To it So it Comes Naturally. Practice Makes Perfect My Friend And ur Mic is One Of The 1st Things id Get Rid Of Since it's Holding u Back. Why is it Holding u Back? Because No Matter How Great ur Lyrics And Flow Are - The Quality is Still Complete Shit And it's Gnna Bother u. When i Recorded i Wasn't Happy Until i Could Actually Listen To My Track Without Cringing at Some Parts.
So Listen Up And Listen Well, u Know Fine Well u Got Potential But u Just Don't Seem To Know How To Go About Putting ur Best Self Forward. Read Over The Beat Until it Comes Naturally, And Don't Hold Back When it Comes To Recording. Do u Stutter When u Rap Along To a Song u Know Well? Probably Not, So u Have To Make ur Shit as Easy as That Before The Final Cut. Now Correct Me if im Wrong, But 'Going All Out' is Something a Lot Of Ppl Try Not To Do With a Shitty Mic, Because it Distorts The Sound More Or Whatever. So Just Say 'Fuck it' And Go All Out Until ur Mic Almost Breaks. Listen To What u Have And ignore The Obligatory Static And Pay Attention To How Well ur Flowing And How Well u Deliver. Then Think About it, if u Got That Sorted Then The Only Thing Standing Between u And a Decent Track is a Better Mic.
Keep Dropping Though.
