im wonderin if you gusy think hip hop has a positive or negative affect on the community(african american, or better yet, minorities)?

Neither really..well now-a-days, for the most part, Rap has been shitty and makes wiggers like Big P and The 420 kid think its ok to say the N-Word but really you can't help that. So imma say Neither and if i was to pick one id say Positive(for the most part)

priests listen to religious music and touch children....... nuff said

Of course it has a negative effect. It reinforces everything they know or have seen and glorifies it.

The positive effects are time getting consumed doing something constructive.

Hip-Hop's general consensus that we want the world to be a better place. Whether that concerns your block or the genocide in Darfur.

it gives hope and breeds ignorance, white people will see hip hop as "nigger" music regaurdless of the subject manner but they like to keep the most niggerish music the most popular so its easier to get away with their bigotry and exploitation
