In Maine we can only be fined, if we get pulled over for another violation.

They have recently signed a bill that gives cops the right to pull you over just for seatbelts. Previously they
couldn't.

The new bill gives them the right to give us warnings up until 08. I guess, that amendment gives everyone time to become familiar with the law. (Get pulled over ten times you might start wearing your seatbelt)

April 2008 they will able to start pulling us over just for seatbelts not being worn and fine us.

I believe our state alreadt passed that bill and the law says they can pull you over for not wearing your seatbelt as well.

Whats everyone views on seatbelts? I know alot of people that cant stand them and refuse to wear them for safety issues - If im correct, kinda like the left eye incident where she was the only one wearing her seat belt and the only one who died in the accident.

laws havent been passed on that yet? jesus i remember my mum got fined a good 3 times for me n my siblings for not having seatbelts on when i was like 10. its been here a good 8 years probably longer.

that click-it or ticket shit been going on for a while.

when i was 16 i got pulled over for not wearing my seatbelt, and ended up gettin arrested for the shit they found when they searched me. I ALWAYS wear my seatbelt now.

they've been able to pull people over for not wearing a seatbelt for like a year here

imo its stupid as fuck, you're only endangering yourself
