Which part of the song? The hook? Or the belch-like effect in the background?

Though it's hard to understand what word Genuine is exactly saying (that belch sounding word)...it is still a word. All he did was put a strech bender on it. When ur mixing in cool edit pro...highlight whatever word, phrase or noise you want to have that effect...go up to the top of the keys and select EFFECTS. Go down to TIME/PITCH and select the STRETCH option. Once that's open...Slow it down and lower the voice WITHOUT preserving the tempo. It'll give you the effect about halfway. Use the bars above in that box to deepen the voice more to your liking or slow it down more. Once it sounds just right...leave it highlight and go to your delays to add the delay called BOUNCE on it. It'll add that slight quick echo that it needs just right. Once you've done that...you'll have yourself an effect similar to what Genuine used in Pony. Enjoy.

thanks but i already figured out how he did it, timb did it with a talkbox (piece of equipment you put in your mouth say shit and it sends the sound to notes you play on a guitar or keyboard)
cool edit don't have it as a stock effect, i figured out how to do it in waves i've used it for a few beats, i'll send you the waves bundle if you want it sometime kurse, it has alotta dope things in it, its a direct x plugin

that?
for recording/mixing i'd say yeah CEP's better, that just looks like a wave editor for any mixing program you're going to want something that's multi track, that program is mainly just for editing pre-existing files not recording music

the waves bundle is really popular and good it has about every useful vocal effect necessary, search filestube.com for it and look for dx in the file name
