According to MTV News, G-Unit's Tony Yayo was arrested in New York today(Saturday) on charges of harassment and endangering the welfare of a child.
A source close to the situation told MTV News that Yayo had slapped the 14-year-old son of Game's manager, Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond, near Rosemond's offices, which are across the street from Violator Management, which represents 50 Cent and G-Unit.
The source said the boy identified Yayo (real name: Marvin Bernard) on Saturday. The source also said that 50 Cent and other members of G-Unit were detained and questioned, but police would not comment.
Cynthia Reed, the boy's mother, told Vibe, "My son was walking to his father's office with his father's shirt [which had the logo of Czar Entertainment, Rosemond's company] on Tuesday afternoon. And as he was walking, Tony Yayo, along with three other men, approached him and assaulted him. Tony Yayo back-hand slapped him in the face. This is what my son told me, as well as a witness. Soon, as the witness yelled out, 'What are you doing?' my son broke away and ran from them."
