Jay-Z to Induct Flash

Jay-Z will be inducting Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five into this year's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, following previous years when rap artists criticized the ceremony for overlooking the genre.
As the first rap act to be honored in the Hall, the group joins fellow inductees R.E.M., Van Halen, Patti Smith, and the Ronettes.
Flash, 49, is credited for being one of the first DJs to blend, mix, and cut vinyl records – a technique which DJ Grand Wizard Theodore later developed into what is now known as scratching.
The ceremony will be held on March 12 in New York City's Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, and air live on VH1.
