Busta Beats Man

Busta Rhymes turned himself into police yesterday after a man complained that he had beaten him up during a dispute over money.
Rhymes, born Trevor Smith, was arraigned on a misdemeanor assault charge at a Manhattan police station and later released. He is expected back in court today.
According to police Lt. John Grimpel, an unnamed man said Rhymes had punched and kicked him numerous times in a confrontation outside of a lower Manhattan building on Dec. 26. The man was treated at a nearby hospital after the incident.
Rhymes has had several recent run-ins with the law including an assault charge after an Aug. 12 concert, a ticket for driving while talking on his cell phone in November, and most notably being questioned by the police after the shooting death of his bodyguard last February.
In more positive news, Busta Rhymes was recognized last week for helping a children's shelter home in Luanda, Angola. Rhymes and several other artists performed a show in the African nation, and before leaving donated $15,000 and used clothes to the shelter.
