aight so i just got a new computer, its a barebone computer (i got ram & hardrive thats all i should need right?) and i hook everything up to it but when i turn it on the first bios screen blinks all fucking crazy like an NES game that ain't work right, i can see most of what it says and it ain't say theres any errors, and whenever i try to install a operating system on it it either'll freeze up in the first part of the installation or bring up a blue error screen

i got windows 98 to install on one hardrive to the point where windows would actually start loading but once it got to the first cloud screen it says an error and tells me to restart but whenever i restart it does the same shit again

any ideas to whats fucked up with it? or anything i might be doing wrong? its brand new with a 2.8 gigahertz processor and i got a 256 mb & 128 mb ram card plugged into it and they are recognized, i thought it may be the video card but thats installed in the motherboard already so i shouldn't need anything extra to make it work

whoever helps me reach a solution and get this computer running the first thing i'll do once i get programs installed i'll provide you with 10 custom beats or i'll do some ghostwriting for you, or do 10 tracks with you, or a mixture of the 3 options, i'd really like to get this thing working cause i can't run any audio programs on this piece of shit i'm on now

ps - i'm not on the computer that i need help with now i'm on a 200 megahertz circa 1992 dell

Ummm....all I can guess is try to install a boot up disk, maybe try a newer version of windows.

Do you have any drives on it? A sound card? I'll try to think of what else it could be, but its been awhile since I've troubleshot.

I'll give you the most realistic answer. Bad hardware.

yeah hard drive could be the reason as well, I just thought of that while I was surfing through my sites.

I've had that problem quite a few times.

2 cd drives, a floppy drive, & a hard drive

i tryed installing windows xp, windows 2000, & 98 none of them worked

all the hard drives work properly on other computers, and i doubt that would have an effect on the bios, that should run normally without any hardrives even connected

the sound cards built in so i doubt thats it

anymore guesses to whats wrong with it? i got a warranty on it so if i can't fix it i'll just send it back

check out your motherboard, make sure all the connections between your components is made.

Thats all I can think of if the hard drives work with other computers.

I dunno, unless you havn't tried the boot up disc thing, I have nothing else to suggest.

Its something to deal with your computer itself then if it won't work.
