I was thinking about this today after listening to some Biggie. And was kinda surprised by my answer to myself. What do you guys think?

well for the most part definatley obie...den again biggie died early so for all we kno he would be the hottest rapper out there today...but i still think obie is way better

yeah i think obie is better too. but yeah viral has a point at that time lyrics were a bit simpler so you never know.

LoL Biggie was never that lyrical
And it wasn't cause lyrics were simple
Peep chino XL And rass kass back in the day.. they were mad complex
but i'll say biggie and i dont even listen to obie

Obie without a doubt.
Biggie came in during a time where it was more about your sound, swagger and status than it was the actual lyrical content you were spittin. Not sayin that conscious rappers weren't still doin their thang at the time...but niggaz like Biggie, Snoop, Master P and others we're just the hype at the time.
Besides 2Pac, the only other realest kat that I was feelin from that time frame was Warren G.
But lyrically...Obie shits on Biggie (not to take credit away from the big man ofcourse) So do alot of other artists today in my opinion.
