Short Imagery

He awoke in darkness; cold sweat drenched his face
paranoia closed in; fear clutched his mental state
nothing but pitch black; hopeful words were extinguished
except the white lies that reassured his existence
he stared blankly letting his iris adapt to the night
perspectives shifted; the walls were actually white
in a room without corners; an object caught his eyes
hanging loosely with wood borders compressed inside:
the portrait was stunning; contrasting colors made it stand out
the Silent Night and Bodhi Tree in the background
numerous markings in snow; each unique footprint
and the universe carved in stone; the view was translucent…
a world purely intuitive without intelligence composes the awe
but the portrait was simply an element hung on a wall
he takes a step back; faint light provides the big picture
now he’s taken aback; the same lines design his figure…

I tend to use imagery a lot in my style so I can relate to this, very nice.

That was imagercy right there. A room without corners?!?! ive never read something like that before in a verse. All in all, you kept me reading though it would have been nice if it was longer.

Tell me what you think about my Persistence post if you get the chance.
